Lavender's POV:

She rolled her eyes. Her abuela wanted a party. Para sa pagbabalik ng mga magulang at para pormal na ipakilala sila sa university gayundin upang malaman ng mga tao ang tungkol kay Lilac. At first, she protested. She just wants a simple announcement of some sort. But knowing her grams, her party means grand. At siya iyong tipo na ayaw ng mga ball gowns or anything like that. Yes, she wears dresses. Ayaw niya nang mahahabang gowns. The shorter, the better. Hindi siya komportable sa mga ganoon.

You must be wondering what happened sa university after her mom went to the Burgundy room? The sorority was banned until further notice. There is no activity for them. At si Carlotta at ang dalawang kasama nito? They are issued with temporary suspension. That means no school activities as well. Sumugod ang mga magulang ng mga ito. Her mom threatens to sue them kaya naman nakipag areglo ang mga ito. Pinabalik siya ng mommy niya after hearing that Lilac is okay. She needs to stay at the hospital for some test. Other than that ay namaga lang ang binti nito. She even remember what her mom says.

"Your choice, Mr. And Mrs. Celeste. If not for my daughter, I could easily throw you out of this university. But I consider my daughters input on these. So have your daughter say sorry, asks for forgiveness and thank my daughter Lilac. It's just fair. If not? I'll just have my lawyer talk to you."

She saw how the Celeste's are proud people. Ayaw nila. Pilit na gusto nilang umalis na lang ng university.

"You cannot do this! " ani Mrs. Celeste.

"I'll have this reviewed by the Board. You are basing this because of a stupid sorority!"

"Oh. So you are calling your daughter stupid as well, since she's part of it?" Ivory taunted.

"Stop twisting my words, Miss Robinson. Hinding hindi gagawin ng anak ko ang gusto mo!" galit na si Mr. Celeste.

Tumawa ang mommy niya. " Let me tell you something. When she signed as being part of this sorority, she knew the rules. And mind you, that's legal and binding. And breaking rules especially with my daughter's medical records, I can assure you that your daughter will have a taste of hell." tinitigan ng mommy niya ang mag asawang Celeste. "No wonder why your daughter has an attitude. May pinagmanahan naman pala."

"How dare you! Bitch!" Hindi na nakapagpigil si Mrs. Celeste.

"Uh oh. Don't call me names, Mrs. Celeste. Baka gusto mong kalimutan ko kung nasaan tayo at maranasan mo kung paano humalik sa lupa? Remember: I am the founder of this sorority. You have no idea of what I can do," her mom's smile belied the danger in her tone.

Tila natakot naman si Mrs. Celeste ngunit nakita niya ang naniningkit nitong mga mata.

"You win. For now. Hindi pa tayo tapos." sabi ni Mr. Celeste.

"Sure. Kahit kailan mo gustong tapusin natin. Magsama pa kayo ng pamilya mo. Naniniwala ako na ang basura, kahit saan mo ilagay, basura pa rin. Kaya itinatapon. Once my daughter gets back, make sure your daughter will do what we discussed. If not, ipadadampot ko na lang kayo."

Mayroon silang mga pinirmahan na papeles. Kasama nila ang secretary ng discipline committee, si Tita Raven at siya. Na ipapasa nito sa Board at ipapanotaryo. Hinila na ni Mr. And Mrs. Celeste si Carlotta. They could hear them shouting at Carlotta.

Napailing na lang siya. "Lilac was right. Sa iyo pala ako nagmana, eh." she teased her mom.

Tumingin ito sa kanya. Her face became softer. Ang kaninang nakakatakot na anyo nito ay napalitan ng mukha ng isang inang nag aalala sa anak. Her mom smiled. "Mabuti nga at namana mo. Para maipagtanggol mo ang kapatid mo. I know that your sister inherited your father's traits." Napailing ang mommy niya. "How's your sister? How are you, sweetheart? Pasensiya ka na anak at hindi ka man lang namin makumusta ni daddy mo. Your sister needs us."

"I know mom. No need to worry. I don't have any hard feelings. Besides, we were not able to see nor take care of her. That's fine mom." pagbibigay assurance niya sa ina.

Niyakap siya nito. "Sure?"

"Of course mommy. You are so nice with the Celeste's, huh."

Tumawa ang mommy nila. "Yes, I know. Pasalamat nga at hindi ko sila pinatulan. Naisip ko lang ang kapatid mo. At ikaw. Baka kung ano ang gawin nila."

"I can take care of myself, mommy. Yes, with Lilac, we should be worried. I am just thinking what happened to the bodyguards that was to look after her. Maiiwasan ito kung naipagtanggol si Lilac."

Kumunot ang noo ng ina. "Bodyguards? You have bodyguards?!"

She smiled. "Yes. Grams didn't want to tell us about it but I figured it out."

" I see. You have a point, honey. Let's ask your grandma. We will go to the hospital first."

Tumango siya.

Abuela was so mad hearing what happened. Nang oras na iyon ay tinawagan nito ang bodyguard na siyang dapat ay nagbabantay kay Lilac. Nalaman nila na may mga nakaaway itong lalaki nang malaman nito na kinuha si Lilac at piniringan sa mata, dahilan ng pagkakapasok nito sa sorority. Sinabi nito na hindi na nito makita ang dalaga at may mga lugar na hindi ito makapasok dahilan ng limitasyon na may mga lugar na mga estudyante lang ang maaring pumasok. Humingi ng paumanhin ang bodyguard. Sinabi din nito na tinatawagan ang abuela ngunit hindi nito sinasagot ang telepono. He said he called for reinforcement but neither can be reach.

Grams felt sorry. She said something came up na kinailangan nito ang dalawang bodyguards na dapat ay bantay nila ni Lilac.

"Do we have to wear like gowns on that ball?"

Ngumiti ang mommy niya. "Of course. That is a very important party, Lavender."

"Mom, can I wear other dresses? Ayoko ng gowns. Maxi dresses pa pwede."

"That's almost the same, right?" ani ng daddy nila.
"No." sabay na sagot nilang mag ina.

Her dad shrugged.

"Si Lilac na lang mom! She never wore gowns. Siya na lang. Ako, midi dress or maxi. Please? I won't feel comfortable with the gowns. Grams, please?"

Tumawa ang abuela niya. "O siya sige. Ikaw ang bahala."
