It wasn't my plan to do the wedding today because I planned to convince my parents but after that argument with mom. I don't think they will let this wedding happen. Her actions says it all. No matter how I convince them, hindi nila ako pakikinggan.
Hindi ako mapakali sa kinatatayuan ko. Sabi kasi ni Ann ay aayusan niya muna raw si Ashanti bago magsimula 'yung kasal. "Relax, bro." Wika ni William sa tabi ko.
"Kinakabahan ka ba baka umatras si Ashanti?" Hirit pang biro ni William sa tabi ko kaya sinamaan ko siya ng tingin. Loko talaga, alam na mgang kinakabhan ako eh.
"Joke lang eto naman masyadong seryoso! Inaayusan lang naman yo'n ni Ann, chill ka lang." Natutuwang wika niya pa ulit sa'kin.
"Kidding aside, congratulations kuya."
"I'm so happy for you." Ngiting wika pa niya. Hanga lang ako na kahit gano'n 'yung nangyari kanina eh nakukuha pa din niyang ngumiti at magbiro.
"Don't worry about, Mom. I'm sure in perfect time, she will eventually accepts your family and especially Ashanti." He said to cheer me up.
"Worry about your honeymoon later." Pabirong bulong pa nito tapos sabay halakhak. Loko talaga to eh. Sa dami naming problema nakuha pa niyang isingit yo'n.
"Oo, talagang po-problemahin ko yo'n. Kung paano mo ko kami hindi maiistorbo mamaya." Singhal ko pa sakaniya. Tumingin siya sa'kin at sabay halakhak ulit.
"Huh, excuse me? Hindi ah. May gagawin din kami ni Ann." Malokong sagot niya sabay kindat sa'kin. Tss... "buti naman." I whispered.
Minsan naiinggit ako kay William because no matter how hard the situation is. Nakukuha niya pang ngumiti at tumawa and to look the other way around.
Nilingon ko ulit si William and he's giggling this time. "Kuya, they are here!!" William loudly whispered. Para akong napako sa kinatatayuan ko nung nakita ko si Ashanti.
Hindi ko maipaliwanag pero parang pinagpawisan ako ng malamig at sobra sobra 'yung tuwang nararamdaman ko habang nakikita ko si Ashanti na naglalakad paplapit samin.
She is such an angel! Her white dress matches her natural beauty. Hindi ko maiwasang hindi mapaluha habang pinapanood ko si Ashanti na naglalakad papunta samin. She went through so much struggles and pain.
I was wrong for leaving her even after her parents died. I miscalculated things. I thought leaving her will fix the problem but I was wrong.
I thought that, if I do what my parents wants me do ay magiging masaya ako but I suffered, we both suffered especially Ashanti.
Sa kalagayan niya ngayon. I don't know how she survived all the pain and trauma that I have caused her. Buti na lang nando'n si William nung mga panahong kailangan ni Ashanti ng masasandalan. I'm beyond grateful with my brother for what he did.
"You're so beautiful, Ashanti ko." Salubong kong ngiti sakaniya nung makalapit na siya samin. Napayuko lang siya na para bang nahihiya sa sinabi ko.
Bumaling ako do'n sa judge na magkakasal saming dalawa para maumpisahan na ang seremonya. Habang nagsasalita 'yung judge sa harapan namin ay parang wala akong naririnig dahil na kay Ashanti lang ang focus ko.
"In accordance with the authority granted to me by the government and the law, we have gathered in this place to witness Leandro Miguel Alejandre and Thalia Ashanti's official union in the state of matrimony. You respect their decision to dedicate their lives to one another by being there to share in their joy at the love they have found in one another. We are gathered here today to honor love. We gather together to celebrate and witness the union of these two people in a union founded on love." He started.
"Leandro Miguel Alejandre, do you take Thalia Ashanti Fuentes as your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better and for worse, for richer, for poorer. In sickness and in health, until death do us part?"
He asked me.
"I will." I loudly whispered.
"Thalia Ashanti Fuentes, do you take Leandro Miguel Alejandre as your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better and for worse, for richer, for poorer. In sickness and in health, until death do us part?" Baling naman nito kay Ashanti.
Nakita kong maiyak iyak pa siya habang pinapakinggan yo'n. "I will." She nodded while still sobbing.
"Please turn to each other and hold one another's hands as you share your vows in front of your witnesses." Utos niya sa amin.
Sa totoo lang hindi ko alam kung anong sasabihin ko because I know that there's no words that can make Ashanti feel better. There's no word to describe how much I adore her.
"Ashanti ko... I don't know what to say right now expect for you're so gorgeous and I didn't regret that I chose you and no matter what happen I will always choose you."
"Thank you for loving me even at my worst, even without an assurance. Even if things are getting so messed up."
"No words can express how much I adore you and how much I feel sorry because I knew that you've gone through so much pain and struggles these past few months because of me." Tears started to fall out while we are exchanging vows.
"I love you, I love you mahal ko." I whispered.
"So, wear this ring as a sign of my love for you." I promised and placed the ring in her finger ending my vows.
Ashanti took a deep sigh before delivering her vows. "Hindi ko itatangging sobra akong nasaktan sa mga nangyari and that I felt so lonely."
"But despite having no assurance, I hope and prayed. I waited for this because I just can't stop loving you." She was sobbing while delivering her vows.
"I never lose hope and I never think of giving up because I have our child, amd she became an inspiration for me to stay strong and hold on."
"Thank you for coming back.. I'm praying to God that whatever happens, I hope you never leave me again. I love you, Leandro. I will stay beside you through up and downs and support whatever your decision will be. She added.
"Leandro, take this ring as a symbol of my unconditional love for you, this may remind you that I will always be here for you no matter what the circumstances will be." She promised and placed the ring on my finger ending her vows.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife."
"You may know kiss the bride." Pagkasabi nung Judge no'n eto namang sina William and Ann humiyaw. Nakakahiya kasi 'yung hiyaw nilang dalawa pang sampung tao sa sobrang lakas. Hindi naman halatang kinikilig sila noh?
After that, we sign the official marriage registration and contract. "Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Alejandre!" Bati nung judge samin bago umalis. Tumungo kami at nagpasalamat, pagkaalis na pagkaalis niya ay dali daling lumapit samin sina Ann at William. "Sana all, kasal na diba?!" Pang aasar na bungad ni William sa'kin.
"Let's celebrate!!" Masayang wika nila tapos ay nauna pa sila saming bumalik sa loob ng bahay. Natawa na lang kami ni Ashanti sakanila kasi para silang mga batang excited kumain ng handa sa kapag may handaan. Tss.
"Ready ka na ba later." Nakangisi kong bulong kay Ashanti habang pabalik kami sa loob ng bahay tapos sinamaan niya lang ako ng tingin.
"Leandro! No!" Suway niya.
"Okay lang yan, I know you cannot resist me. Nakita ko naman na yo'n ah, hindi mo na kailangang mahiya, hayst." I loudly whispered through her ears tapos hinawi niya 'yung kamay ko nung akmang yayakapin ko siya. Haha she's still the same Ashanti I knew. Mahiyain pa rin siya hay na'ko.
