Stuck Chapter 7
If being in your CEOs' car wasn't weird enough, sitting there in the backseat next to their child while literally thirsting over the fathers (one way more than the other!) not an hour back definitely was!
Daisy was every bit wary of him as Mr. Walton warned but that did not stop her from enthusiastically telling them all about her day. She was adorable and he enjoyed watching the men be anything but CEO-ish with her!
And if he had thought Daisy's mother's house was huge? Well, the one they entered was a whole ass mansion! He made a mental note to never let them see where he lives! His apartment, which he worked so hard to be able to afford for years!, was a shoe box compared to the places the rich lived in apparently!
"I'm hungryyyy!" Daisy groaned as soon as they got out of the car.
"You haven't had dinner yet?!" Mr. Walton asked, looking down at the little girl he was holding the hand of as they walked to the entrance.
"No! I haven't eaten since my afternoon snack."
The way the handsome face got filled with rage was scary. Mr. Walton made sure to look up and hide his expression from his step-daughter but Will saw the glare he threw the other man all too well. Mr. Carpenter shook his head and gritted his jaw as well, clearly angry, but his was way more subtle than the tattooed man's ever could be.
The door was unlocked and, after watching them all take their shoes off, so did Will.
The place was beyond gorgeous. It was one of those multi million buildings you saw on youtube. There was an artificial waterfall that led down to what he could only assume would be a pool. The TV was as big as his entire wall at his apartment and the furniture looked so expensive, he started thinking if sitting on the floor would be the wiser choice! He was snapped out of it when a pair of fluffy slippers were placed in front of him by none other than the scary boss himself. It was a bit... uncomfortable... watching the guy bend down to put them at his feet.
"Thank you..." He mumbled, fiddling with his fingers as he put them on.
He received a SMILE in reply (which killed him softly a bit!) and a hand gesture that invited him to go further into the house.
"I'm gonna put a quick meal together for Daisy. Joe and I ate but I assume you haven't. Right?"
How did he know?!
Will stopped himself from asking and nodded instead.
"Mhm. The bathroom's down the hall. Wash your hands and splash some cold water on your face too while I prepare the meal."
"You don't have to! I'm not really hungry. Besides... I don't think my stomach can handle digesting anything right now..." Fuck, why couldn't the ground open and swallow him so he wouldn't feel so extremely embarrassed?!
Strong hands grabbed his shoulders, turned him around and gave him a gentle nudge into the hallway.
"I didn't ask for your opinion, William." There was a softness in his tone as Mr. Walton said that, leaving Will absolutely devastated. Each time the man said his name in full form, that 'William' in the usually tired, low voice, his heart did a backflip in his chest. He didn't know what to do to stop himself from reacting like this. He could only wish this stupid crush he had on a happily married man would come to an end very soon.
He was just back to the living room when the man walked toward him with a mug in hand as he continued talking with the little girl. It was the same herbal tea Mr. Walton had given him the first day at work. Speaking of, while one husband was busy cooking and attending to the kid, the other was on his laptop, working and not really paying his surroundings any attention.
