"Oh no!" Daisy gasped when she threw the ball all the way to the top of the shelf in Joe's office room.

"Daisy, you're not supposed to be in dad's office. You know that." Theo said, as he continued working on his laptop, watching William and Daisy play around. Joe was outside, doing some shopping as he so loved to do.

"Let me get it for you." William offered to get the ball and soon he heard a thud and a 'shit'.

Putting the laptop down, he went to Joe's office.

"I'm so sorry. I was trying to get the ball and this box fell." William's anxiety was at it again.

He smiled, ruffling the boy's hair. "It's not the end of the world, love. All is fine." He looked to the side and frowned at Daisy. "No more going to our offices, okay?"

The girl nodded and ran out of the room.

Looking down, Theo froze when he saw the picture on the floor. Crouching down, he picked it up and he didn't know for how long he was just staring at it because William's worried voice brought him back to life.

"Theo? What's wrong? You're pale." The warm, gentle hand carefully touched his shoulder.

"I don't know how he has this. He shouldn't have this." Joe shouldn't have had this. How could he...?

It was a picture from the first time he escaped home and was staying with Benji. In the picture, he had his gym bag on his shoulder, and a genuine smile on his face as he was waving goodbye at Benji who was driving away. Joe shouldn't have had this. And now that he did, what did it entail?

He was fidgety the whole time until his husband came home.

"Joe, can I talk to you for a sec?"

"Sure, baby." The other followed him upstairs. "What's up?" Joe hugged his waist, kissing his cheek and looking at him lovingly.

Theo swallowed his doubts as he lifted the hand with the picture. "William was trying to get Daisy's ball from the top shelf and a box fell down. This fell out of it. Joe... how do you have this?"

"Oh," Joe's face lightened up as he smiled widely and took the picture, his eyes lingering on it. "I forgot I have this!" His reaction was anything but of guilt. He was genuinely relaxed. "Your father's spy kept sending these pictures to him. I sneaked over every time he left the room because it was the only way I could see you. I missed you on a whole other level back then and this picture... you're so beautiful in it, baby. I couldn't help but keep it for myself. Look at you! It was the first time I'd seen you with a smile." Joe looked at him, kissing his forehead. "My husband is so beautiful when he smiles, isn't he?"

Theo smiled, his eyes tearing up due to the shame he felt. He had let himself doubt Joe and it wasn't okay. What was wrong with him? For fuck's sake...

"Come! I bought the donuts William likes and I want him to actually have one before Daisy finishes all of them." Joe chuckled, holding his hand and going downstairs.

Theo left the boys and Daisy home as he went to Nara's place. Her husband was on a business trip and she'd caught the flu so she had her hands full with the kid and the sickness.

"Thank you for coming, Theo. The nanny had to leave and I don't wanna get my baby sick." Nara looked awful.

"Are you sure you don't want to go to the doctor?" He got worried looking at his friend's state.
