Chapter 18

Will knew without asking that it was Mr. Walton's shirt he was given. The man's cologne had a distinct scent to it, one he had never smelt before.

They said colognes gave off different scents on each person's skin. Maybe that was why Mr. Walton's was so intoxicating, captivating, just like the man himself.

Standing in the bathroom, he brought the fabric to his face, sniffing on it deeply with closed eyes in pleasure. He'd missed the man. It'd been eight days since he last saw him. The last he saw the handsome face was when they put him in the car to take him to the hospital. Despite coming to their house every day since then, he never got to see Mr. Walton. He was worried sick. Not knowing how he was made him be overly concerned and unable to stop thinking about the man 24/7.

Lifting his head up, he came eye to eye with his own reflection in the mirror. His eyes drew down to the shirt he was wearing. He... had lied to Mr. Carpenter about it. The clothes weren't Aron's. They were Aron's daddy's clothes but something told him in that moment that if he told his boss the truth, he wouldn't receive a pleasant reaction. Not that the one he got was any good either. It seemed to have bothered the man, which wasn't something that happened very often since Mr. Carpenter was one of the calmest people he'd ever known in his entire life.

Replacing the shirt with Mr. Walton's he smiled at his image. At how oversized it was on him. Will wrapped his arms around himself over the shirt, dearly missing the way the muscular arms had held him that one night.

A gentle knock on the door broke him out of his bittersweet memory lane.

"William, coffee or tea?" The deep voice asked behind the door.

None. I don't feel like eating. I never eat breakfast. Especially not these days when I'm always so anxious.

He wanted to say one of the many things he thought in an instant but instead he said: "Tea, please." because he didn't want to get another lecture on how he should 'eat'. He knew it. Just that, it was hard to suddenly be told it was okay to eat after having been called a pig, fat, ugly and gluttonous throughout his childhood all the way to university.

Collecting the other shirt from the counter, he stepped out of the bathroom.

"How is Mr. Walton doing?" He asked, putting the shirt over his backpack.

Mr. Carpenter replied to him with his back at him as he prepared the breakfast: "Pretty much the same. This will take some time before he's back on track. I'll just have to take a good care of him for now."

Will walked into the kitchen and he was about to sit when the man turned around and... quite literally stopped to stare at him. Two glasses in both hands and all.

Nervous, Will looked to the side, biting on the inside of his cheek. Had he done something wrong?!

Opening his mouth to ask it, he was interrupted by the man as he put the glasses down on the island and started walking to him. Every cell in his body wanted him to move back but his legs were keeping him in place. When he was in an arm's reach, Mr. Carpenter grabbed the shirt and pulled him to himself — not so gently — until they only a few centimeters apart.

"Tell me to stop at any point and I will." Was said next to his ear before the man pulled him flush against himself and buried his nose into the fabric of his husband's shirt over Will's shoulder. Sniffing hard, Mr. Carpenter's arm tightened around him and a second later Will felt the soft lips against his neck.

He gasped, his body starting to heat up at the first touch like a weak whore but really, could you blame him?! This was Mr. Carpenter, who was overly handsome mind you!, touching him on his own for the first time. For the next many minutes, the man kept on kissing, biting, and licking his neck and the side of his face, making Will moan quietly and desire for more. But no matter how much time passed, the lips didn't find his. He was desperate to know how the man's kisses felt but he didn't want to push his luck.
