It had been a Thursday just like any other. He'd worked. He'd spent time with his boyfriend and they'd gone to the gym. He'd said goodbye to Benji and gone inside and then... everything shattered.

"Well well, if it isn't my dear son." His father was standing straight, both hands on the decorative cane as he grinned devilishly. "Would you please get my son before he runs, officers?" His tone was ever so dirtily enthusiastic.

The police officers pointed their guns at him and demanded him not to move. Not that he could. He was paralyzed. On top of knowing he was doomed, he was worried sick about Benji.

He was grabbed by the police and dragged to his father. The head of the cane was pushed under his jaw as his head was lifted. His father's evil eyes stared right into his.

"You've embarrassed me in front of everyone by neglecting your studies. People would misunderstand, thinking I'm asking anything of you but that one simple thing." The monster turned to look at the entrance when Benji's shouts filled the place.

"Fucking let go of me! Who are you?! Let go of me!" His boyfriend then saw him. "Theo!" He screamed his name when he saw him like that.

"Theo." His father repeated with much distaste. "It's Theodore. You must be the person giving him shelter all this time. You'll be compensated for his intrusion and you'll sign a contract to not speak a single word of this to anyone."

"Don't be absurd! Intrusion?! Who the fuck are you to treat him like that! He's my—"

"Enough." He cut Benji off before he could say anything more. It seemed his father had no idea what the nature of their relationship was and he wanted to keep it at that. For Benji's safety. Clenching his jaw to push back the tears, he looked at the boy. "You're annoying. I was scared of going home but I've been thinking about it because it's honestly awful living with you. I hope you don't think we're friends just because I was treating you nicely. I had to, since you were dumb enough to let me in."

His father chuckled, patting his head once as he started to walk toward the door. Oddly enough, it had been the first time he'd received a pat from this man.

"Let's go."

His lawyer was there so he'd probably take care of the contract and compensation. Theo felt like he was getting torn into a million pieces because of his cruel words. He wished benji knew none of them were true but by the looks of it, his lover was deeply hurt. Benji tried to run to him but the guards didn't let him move. He kept on shouting his voice until they were far enough not to hear it anymore. When they were inside the mansion, he saw all the staff lined up. Joe was there too. Theo's face was tear-soaked as he was silently dragged to his room after locking eyes with the boy for a mere moment. His father took over and threw him to the floor. Theo crawled to a corner, curled into himself and anticipated the pain. His father had the servants search him. They took his keys, wallet, phone, the candy Benji always left in his pocket. The phone was shattered in front of him as the monster stumped on it. And then it came. The cane hurt a lot less than the fire iron but when it broke in half after a few hits, he met with the original weapon again. It hurt. Maybe it was because of the many months he'd spent not being beaten but it really fucking hurt. Why did he ever think he could have a shot at a normal life? As far as he was alive, this was it. This was fucking it for him. He couldn't go back to Benji because that would be a death wish for the innocent boy. He couldn't kill his father because he didn't want to be punished for the death of the man who had made his life a living hell. So it left him. He really had to make sure this time everything would be over. Right before he'd black out, he heard someone saying something. His father stopped and, through his blurry eyes, he saw a figure hand a phone to the monster.
