Chapter 22
“S... Sir, p…please spare our lives, w…we just did what ordered us to do so. D…don't kill us!” Yul begged the person in front of him while he was kneeling on the ground with a beaten face and bloody body after getting tortured almost to death.
He couldn't run because his legs were also beaten with the bat. His legs were like jelly. His members were unconsciously laying on the ground, or maybe they were already dead.
“Spare your life? Why would I do that? I don't have a plan to do that.”
A smug was formed on that person's face while looking at Yul without a hint of mercy in his eyes.
“F…forgive me, Sir, I…I'm begging you. I…I will provide any information you want, just please, d…don't kill me.” Yul cried.
His shaky breath can be heard around the place. He feared his death, he didn't expect that he will get caught. His heartbeat went faster than earlier when that person pointed a gun at his forehead.
“Too bad, I am not interested in that information anymore.”
Yul's eyes widened before he can process anything, a sound of a gunshot was heard in the area.
It's been a week now since the incident and Taehyung slowly recovered from his bruises and wounds. He didn't expect that he will be alive after that. He thought it might be the end of him.
Also, it surprised him to see Jungkook was the one who helped him. It kind of made him anxious because Jungkook didn't bother to bombard him with questions about the incident.
But he remembered that Jungkook was his ex-husband, and maybe he only helped him because of pity.
“W…what happened to your hand?” Taehyung asked Jungkook, who was peeling a tangerine beside him.
“Nothing” Jungkook replied and put the piece of tangerine in Taehyung's mouth.
“10 dead bodies were found in the factory. The citizens confirmed that the bodies were shark loans and gangsters in the area. Han Yul, the leader of them, was also dead along with the 10 dead bodies.”
Taehyung immediately looked at the TV screen in front of him when he heard the news. He couldn't help but swallow, he can confirm that Yul was the person who beat him up.
But, how did this happen?
It's not like he is concerned, he is confused about what was happening.
Was it always just a pure coincidence that the person who hurts him will be found dead later on?
