Exactly what happened last night!

"I'm glad to hear that," Dad said while

Patting his back, Dad looked at me as if saying I did a good job. He looked at me with raised eyebrows.

"Xanthus, go take your seat; lunch is ready," my mother said from the kitchen. Dad walked back to the kitchen, and my dear husband walked to me with that smirk still plastered to his lips. I glared at him, but from inside, my anxiety kept increasing. I don't know what happened between us last night. How and when he came here. The suspense was killing me. I need to get answers from him as soon as possible, or else I will go crazy. Because of stress, my hunger increased even more. I grabbed one more cracker to stuff my mouth, but he took hold of my hand and guided it to his mouth.

I shot daggers at my husband, who steals crackers from the bowl. He took a seat beside me with my hand still in his. I tried to snatch it, but he made his hold strong on my wrist. He licked the crumbs from my fingertip, looking straight into my eyes. My stomach scrunched when his slender tongue tip caressed my fingertip. Something flashed in front of my eyes last night, but before I could see it, it faded away. I snatched my hand out of his hold when I saw Dad walking towards us. I glared at him, but my heart was beating so loudly under my rib cage. I felt that licking sensation last night too. What was that? I couldn't help but ask that question myself. My face started to turn hot. I cleared my throat and adjusted myself again in my seat. Suddenly, I started to feel thirsty. I grabbed the glass of cold water and chucked it in one go. Dad was helping mom bring the food when I stood up suddenly, not able to bear his smouldering gaze on me.

"I will get the dishes," I stuttered while standing up.

"Dishes are already on the table," my mother said while pointing at them on the dining table.

"Oh," I said while biting my lower lip in distress.

"I forgot my cell phone in my bedroom. I will be in a minute," I said while sampling my forehead, ready to turn around.

"It's here," he said in his deep voice, making me look at him. My cell phone was in his hands as he shook it a bit. I swallowed hard, looking at it. He smirked, looking at my colourless face.

"I'm not hungry anymore; I'm heading to Sophia's house," I said while grabbing my cell phone from his hand. My stomach was screaming for food, but this was the only way to run away from him, or else I would go crazy. I walked away before they could say anything.

"You were hungry a few minutes ago," my mother shouted from behind my back.

"I had crackers. I will have my lunch after I come back from Sophie's," I shouted back without turning back.

"She barely ate them! She is very bad at tolerating her hunger. I don't know what's wrong," I hear my dad saying. I heard the head chef's voice, but I grabbed my shoes and ran out of the house. I didn't want him to follow me. I ran barefoot to Sophia's house and rang the bell. She opened the door after a few minutes.

"Someone is looking hot and ready to go out," she said with a wink while moving her eyes all over my length.

"Let me grab my bag," she said, ready to go back into the house when I stopped her.

"You need to tell me what happened last night," I said before she could say anything.

"About last night?" she questioned with furrowed brows when I bobbed my head in a hurry.

"First, you come inside," she said while making a serious face. It made me feel even more anxious. We went to her room, where Logan was sprawling on her bed. We pushed him down and sat on it.
