°°°°°°°°°°°°°°I dialed Amyra's number because I hadn't seen or heard from her in a week and I was worried. She was probably still mad at me but she had to talk to me at some point so why wasn't she answering her phone.
"Fix up yuh face." He said as he walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist and one drying his hair.
"Amyra nah ansa mi call dem."
"Try calling her again later." That was a good idea because it was no use to keep calling her and she wasn't picking up.
"Miss Mitchell left while you were bathing." I put my phone down and got up to leave the room. "Aguh share di food until yuh come."
"Alright." He went into the closet and I left the room closing the door behind me. I made it downstairs and went into the kitchen where I washed my hands before drying them.
"Where is my Dad?" I turned around to see her waiting expectantly for me to answer and as I said before, she was a sweet girl but in my mind she didn't like me for her father.
"He's upstairs, he'll be down soon."
"Okay." She took a seat at the island and I turned back around to continue what I was doing. "Do you want to go catch a movie with me and my Dad tonight?" I wasn't expecting her to invite me out with them or out any at all. "It was supposed to be just me and Daddy but since you're here, we can all go together."
"I don't want to impose."
"Nonsense, Daddy loves having you around and if he's happy then I'm okay with that."
"And it isn't weird that we're dating?"
"I was surprised when he told me because I honestly never saw you two together but I'm happy that it's you because I know you'll genuinely care about him, maybe even love him too and he needs some of that in his life." She had a big smile on her face and I couldn't help the smile that found it's way onto my face.
"Weh unnu in yah a chat mi fa?" He asked as he walked over to where she sat on the stool and wrapped his arms around her shoulder. He started attacking the side of her face with kisses and she was trying to squirm out of his hold.
"Ew Dad, stoooooop."
"Weh yuh mean ew?" He asked in disbelief and she looked at him out of the corner of her eyes. "Explain yourself young lady."
"I was just playing sir."
"And what do you say?"
"I love you Daddy." She said and he smiled before he kissed her forehead and stood up to his full height. "Oh daddy, I invited Miss Iyana to go out with us later."
"What did she say?" He asked as he stared at me and I felt self conscious but in a good way.
"She agreed to come."
