Chapter 39

** AVERY POV **

Take me on a date

I deserve a break

And don't forget the flowers every anniversary

'Cause if you'll treat me right

I'll be the perfect wife

Buying groceries

Buy-buying what you need

You got that 9 to 5

But, baby, so do I

So don't be thinking I'll be home and baking apple pies

I never learned to cook

But I can find a hook

I closed my eyes and held my breathe as I turned the doorknob. Walking in one by one, Raynah's parents greeted us.

"This is a beautiful house you have Avery." Her mother said and I smiled in reply.

"Joe you went to school with Connor and Raynah?" Her dad butted in. Joe gave him a confused look at her dad pointed out sweatshirt sitting on the chair with Connor's high school name written across the front.

"Um no that's Connor's." I replied turning to Connor. "You forgot it last time and we forgot to give it to you." I ran over to the chair and grabbed it off handing it to Connor.

"Well I need a picture of the happy couples so that I can tell people my daughter and her best friend are getting married to great guys." She said. I saw Raynah give Joe a look and mouth something to him out of the corner of my eye.

We lined up Joe to my right, Connor to my left and Raynah to his left. She got the camera ready. We gave her a few minutes as she tried to figure out if the flash was on.

"Ok I think I got it. Yes I do. Ok on the count of three." She said. Joe's arm which was on my back dropped to his side. She began to count down. "ok, THREE, TWO, -" Raynah and Joe jumped out of the picture.

Me and Connor looked at each other. Raynah's parents thought it over for a second and then realized what was happening.

"Raynah can we talk to you?"

"Um yea I have to tell you about something." She replied.

"Ok lets go in the other room." Her mother motioned to the other room.

"No I am fine here. I don't think this is really anything that needs to be in private. Its not anything to blow out of proportions." She said. Her father gave her a glare that showed he had no patience for this.

"Look I lied." Her parents face remained still. "Me and Jc were going out and we broke up recently. You guys didn't know him and I know you wouldn't approve of some things. Like you guys are the strictest people I know and so when you guys said you wanted to come down soon I panicked, I told you I was with Connor to protect myself from make you guy upset. I loved him and it didn't go as I planned. I am sorry for not telling you. When Avery and me first met she told me about how she met Connor and I was a little jealous, you guys told me my whole life I was going to end up with him, and I knew from that point on that what I thought of my future wasn't going to happen and it hurt. But as time progressed I realized as much as I love Connor, I love him as a brother I don't love him to want to be in a relationship with him." She took a breathe. Her parent's faces now relaxed.

"Raynah you could have just told us the truth from the beginning. We can't kick you out of our lives. Thats what your supposed to do when we get really old." Her dad laughed. We looked at each other. "It's a joke." He said giving up on trying to get us to laugh.

"So my little Connor is engaged!" Her mom clapped with excitement. Connor looked at the ring on my hand. Our promise.

"N-" He started to say. Her excitement level dropped as she started to frown.

"Connor, stop playing around with her." I smiled nervously. Her face lit up like a christmas tree.

A distinct cry echoed throughout the hall. All our heads turned to the last door at the end of the hall. It was cracked open enough to hear the cry clearly. Connor grabbed hold of my hand pulling me down the hallway.

"Their going to be pissed off." I whispered as Connor shut the room.

"About what?" Connor asked grabbing my hands and bending down to my eye level.

"Oh I don't know. We just told them were together, not married and oh we have twin little girls. Yeah their not gonna be pissed."

"Avery their not going to be pissed." Connor said pulling me closer to him. "Their going to love them. They have to, how can you not?" He turned me around facing me towards two little girls starring wide-eyed at us from their cribs.

I picked up Sienna, she squirmed trying to get out of my grip. "Connor one day were gonna wake up and they'll be crawling across the house." He laughed.

"Knowing them they will be crawling up walls." He replied at we both laughed.

"Well Madison, Sienna there are two people you need to meet." We both took a deep breathe as Connor turned the doorknob. Raynah's parents heads peered down the hallway.

"Mr and Mrs Jacobs meet Sienna and Madison. Mine and Connor's daughters." They eyes stared into us. They straight faces soon turned to smiles, great somethings wrong. 'Your too young to have kids. You're not even married. Your going to end up breaking up and these children will be bounced between two houses. This is against all of your parents morals Connor. Do you parents even know? They better. Do we have to inform your parents? How do they feel about you leaving college and moving in with a girl.'

Within seconds Raynah's mom was crying. "Oh my I haven't seen a baby this cute since Raynah was born. Can I hold her?" She asked wiping her tears.

"Of course!" I replied handing her Sienna.

"Aw baby girl. Your beautiful!" She said staring into Sienna's gleaming eyes. "Congratulations both of you!

"Thank you guys so much. Thank you for understanding." I smiled.

"I'm proud of you Connor. You found a great girl and created two amazing girls." Raynah's mom beamed as she stared into Sienna's eyes.

( ∞ AUTHORS NOTE: So guys ik i havent updated in a while... Please dont kill me! I've been busy but schools over in two weeks then im a senior and thats really weird. But anyway this year has been hard so far i hurt my foot then got sick and got sick again so I've been to a lot of doctors and stuff this year. So i decided even though this isn't really a good chapter that i will update cause i havent.
