** Connor POV **

Simmer down, simmer down

They say we're too young now to amount to anything else

But look around

We work too damn hard for this just to give it up now

In my American Apparel underwear

Your lipstick stain is a work of art

Avery was blasting her music from the bathroom as usual. My family is still here, they want to take me and Avery out to dinner tonight to make up for the first time they meet her. I am feeling that its gonna be ok since they had the past few weeks to get warmed up to each other. Everyone is saying that they see change in my parents but I only think there acting like this because of me and what they like to call my 'vulnerable' stage after a break up.

"Connor can we talk?" My fathers voice came from the hallway changing my attention from Avery to my parents.

"Sure." I got up from bed wiping the sleep out of my eyes and stretching. I walked to the door passing the bathroom to hear Avery singing. I walked with my parents out to the back yard closing the door behind me. We all took a seat by the pool.

"Whats wrong?" I asked due to my mothers contorted facial expression. She held one finger in the air as she sneezed.

"We just wanna go over the plans for tonight." I let out the breath I had been holding in. I didn't except her to say that.

"Ohh yeah. Me, Avery, Nicola and Brandon are going to the grove to get some clothes for tonight. Then we are coming back so we can all get ready. Then we are going to go to the restaurant. Do you want to take one car or should we take two?"

"Well there is..... two of us.." my mom motioned towards my dad, ".....the three of them..." she continued referring to my siblings, "....and you and Avery."

"Our car only fits five so I guess two. Is that ok?" My dad asked me.

"Yeah of course." I said looking at my watch. "We should go its getting late and we don't want to be late for our reservation." We got off the chairs and walked towards the house. "Hey guys come on lets go so we wont be late for our reservation." I called while walking into the living room.

"Connor we've been waiting for you." Nicola called walking to the door with Brandon. Avery got up from the couch as I walked over to her and grabbed her hand.

"BYEE." We all screamed from the car as we got in. Avery sat next to me and Nicola and Brandon got into the back. As soon as we were all ready we made our way to the Grove. It took about 20 minutes for us to find a parking spot like usual. The girls dragged us to MAC, Nordstrom, and Michael Kors.

"You know we were supposed to get clothes also." Brandon said as we pulled up to the house.

"You brought a suit with you right?"

"Yeah. Why?"

"Just wear that." We got out of the car and helped the girls grab their bags. We walked in to my parents talking with Jc and Ricky, I guess they didn't hear us cause they kept talking.

"How long have they been together?" My mother questioned them.

"About 6 months I believe." Ricky answered.
