** Connor POV **

Unconditional, unconditionally

I will love you unconditionally

There is no fear now

Let go and just be free

I will love you unconditionally

"OMG I LOVE THIS SONG!" Avery and Nicola said at the same time as Unconditionally played through the speakers in the restaurant. So far I believe that my family loves her. That is for now.

My parents have been helpful with me when it comes to my relationships. They were always right about things in the end, so after a few things happened between me and friends or me and girlfriends my parents asked me if I was going to listen to them, and thats what I did. They never wanted to see me upset, why would they? There my parents they love me and care about me.

Sometimes I think I over think things and stress about them. I was knocked out of my thoughts by Avery tugging me by my hand.

"Is everything ok?" I don't know was it? "Are you nervous now?" I just followed her to our table without saying a word. I mean maybe I was a little nervous, but that would mean I was lying, I was very nervous now due to my stress.

"Yeah, just a little nervous." I whispered so only Avery was able to hear. About an hour or so later it was time for desert and the real questions. We had spent dinner just talking about school and Avery learned about my family. Now it was time for them to learn about her...great!

We soon saw our waitress coming with our desserts. A lava cake was placed between me and Avery. I saw her wince at the sight of it. I gave her a look.

"I just ate too much for dinner." I nodded at her explanation. Thats when it started, once everyone got there desert and the waitress walked away.

"So Avery do you mind if we ask you some question to get to know you?" I gave her an if you want to look.

"Um yeah thats fine." She nodded waiting for the questions.

"Where are you from?" My mother always started the chain of questions. She was like the ringleader to us.

"I was born and raised in South Dakota."

"What are you going to college for?" My father followed the lead of my mother with the second question.

"Visual entertainment and photography."

"What do your parents do?" I shot Avery an I'm sorry she doesn't know look, but I think she was perfectly fine answering the question with the look she gave me back.

"Um..." She didn't exactly know how to say her answer to my parents, "my dad was a musician-" she was cut off by my mom.

"Ohh did he give up on his music career?"

"Ummm... actually not exactly-" cut off again by mom.

"Oh so he still does music? What about your mom?" My family sat there staring at her waiting for an answer.

"He um... he died when I was two. And I don't think my mom really had a career."

"Oh why not?" My mother had asked her not really showing any emotion about her dad, but then again whenever she really gets into asking question she will keep a straight face the whole time. She had now officially taken over the question asking.

"I went to live with my aunt and uncle when I was four."

"Was your mother ill or injured?"

"If you count mentally ill as ill?"
