Emily knew how she and Iain weren't talking at all. She felt like it had all been for nothing. She felt like he didn't want her as she didn't want to have a baby.

She knew he had kicked off at her about how she didn't like how he had found them a house behind her back. She wanted to do it all together.

Emily knew that Calleigh could sense the tension between them and it was affecting her at nursery. She knew she needed to nip it in the bud before it got too much.

All she knew was that things were hard. And she had no idea how to make it a lot easier for her.

Morning came and she found herself in bed with Calleigh. Iain had stayed in the spare room again. Emily hated how it all seemed as though it was failing.

Emily left Calleigh in bed and walked into the living room. She sighed as she saw Iain sitting on the sofa. "This is ridiculous now. All of this arguing... it's upsetting our daughter. And she's closed off at nursery. You're acting like this because I don't want another baby yet. I never said no to it. But I also haven't said yes either. I just don't want it yet," she told him.

Iain rolled his eyes. "It's all about you isn't it? Everything has to be Emily's way or nothing," he spat.

"Grow up! Seriously.. I've had enough of this now Iain. This isn't fair on Calleigh. But you don't see that do you?" You just want to have a temper tantrum," Emily said.

Iain said nothing as he stood up and stormed out, slamming the door behind him.

Emily didn't know what to do anymore. She couldn't cope.

Emily went into work after taking Calleigh to nursery. She saw Leah and smiled. "Hey. Iain stormed out this morning. I told him we needed to stop the arguing. And he said everything is my way or nothing."

Leah frowned. "Is all of this because of you not wanting a baby?" She asked.

Emily nodded and sighed. "I don't know where we stand anymore. And I just don't think I can do this. It's too much," she said

Leah took her hand and smiled. "You'll be okay. I think you'll fix it. He's just throwing his toys out of the pram. Don't worry."

Emily wasn't so sure. She just wanted to make it work. But it obviously wasn't going to.

***
Iain was sitting in the ambulance bay. He looked up as Leah walked towards him and rolled his eyes. "I'm guessing she sent you?"

"No. She doesn't know I'm here. Look. You need to back off pressuring her into another baby. It's not fair how you're punishing her for having a choice," Leah said.

Iain scoffed. "Listen. This is none of your business. Stay out of it,"  he said.

***
Emily was sitting in the staffroom. Iain walked in and sighed. "I'm gonna go and stay with Jez for a bit. To give us some time apart," he said.

Emily frowned. "Iain?"

"It's for the best. I just think we need to somehow take some time apart and see what we want," Iain said as he turned and walked off.

But was this really the end for Emily and Iain?
