Emily sighed to herself as she sat in bed as she placed calleigh back in her cot and sighed as she turned to face Iain and sighed as he stood getting ready for work. Emily couldn't help but feel anxious over it, it was the first time that Iain was returning to work since he got shot and she was scared. She was scared that he could end up being hurt again. Emily sat back in the bed as she grabbed Iain's shirt off of the floor and slipped it on as she flipped her blonde hair over her shoulder and sighed as she sent Leah a text. Emily looked to him and sighed "are you sure about this? Going back to work? It was my fault you got shot in the first place" Emily said as he turned to face her and smiled as he sat on the bed next to her and smiled as he took a hold of her hands "it's going to be okay, I promise. We need to get back to normal" Iain said.

Emily looked to him and smiled as she placed a hand on his cheek and smiled as she leant in and kissed him "I love you, I just can't bare to loose you" she said as he pulled her close and kissed her "I'm not going anywhere, I love you too" Iain said as she buried her head around into his chest as he held her close. Emily feared that something bad was going to happen and she couldn't shake the feeling. Emily stood from the bed and looked to Iain and smiled as she started to get ready to work as he walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her "were going to be mine, I promise" Iain said as she looked to him and smiled.

Later that morning, Emily got to work and walked into the staffroom. She frowned as she saw Leah who looked distant. She turned to face Leah and smiled "are you okay?" Emily asked as Leah looked to her and sighed "Sam and I had a fight, he said I don't trust him and I don't. He's getting close with our mum and I felt as if something was going on" she said as Emily looked to her and smiled "you'll work it out, it's hard for you to trust, especially with loosing cal" Emily said.

Leah looked to her and sighed "I doubt it, it's over" Leah said "what do you mean?" Emily asked as Leah looked to her and sighed "Sam left last night. He took grace and he went back to New York" Leah said as Emily looked to her and smiled. She could see just heartbroken that Leah was. Emily wanted to kill Sam for hurting Leah. She knew that Leah had been through a lot and the last thing that she wanted or needed was to be messed around by the likes of Sam strachan.

Later that day, emily walked into connies office and frowned as she saw that Connie was acting off "what's going on?" Emily asked "nothing" Connie said as Emily looked to her and rolled her eyes "I'm not stupid mum, I know something is up. You can tell me" "you can't tell anyone, even Iain. I have cancer" Connie said as Emily felt the colour drain from her face as she looked to Connie. Fearing she was about to loose the only parent she knew.
