Emily knew how Iain had been staying with Jez. They hadn't talked at all lately. And when he saw Calleigh, he picked her up from daycare.

Emily didn't want it to be that way. She needed it to be okay. But they weren't in a good place at the moment. He wanted another baby when she didn't.

She was finally going places in her career. And she knew having another baby would halt that. She had to focus on her future and making sure Calleigh had a good life too.

She needed to talk to Iain about how she was feeling. But he wasn't even talking to her. He dropped Calleigh off at daycare and she picked her up.

Emily knew how that was the last thing she wanted for her little girl. Especially as she had grown up with a broken family. That was something she never wanted for her own little girl.

She needed to make Iain see sense. And she wanted to get her family back. She wanted Iain back. But it wasn't going to happen anytime soon.

Not while he wasn't listening to her about how she didn't feel like they were ready go have another baby.

All she knew was that things had been hard. And she was struggling with it all. She knew how she was putting on an act.

Morning came and she walked into the bedroom to check on Calleigh. She saw her little girl fast asleep. She stroked her head and left.

She walked into the kitchen and made herself a coffee. She needed it to get through the day. She just needed an easy day. But it was Emily Beauchamp. And her life was never simple.

Emily had just taken a sip of her coffee when Calleigh woke up. She groaned and walked to get her. "Morning cuddlebug. Mummy's here. Let's go my little love," she said as she picked her up.

Emily put her in the high chair and set about making her some breakfast. She looked to her and smiled. "It's gonna be okay baby. I promise," she said.

Emily went into work after dropping Calleigh off at daycare. Iain walked over to her. "I think we need to set a proper schedule about when I can have Calleigh. She needs equal time with us both," he told her.

"Whatever happened to good morning? Or am I not worthy of that?" Emily said as she rolled her eyes.

"I'm not dealing with your crap today. I want to start spending more time with her. We do it this way, or we go to family court," Iain said as he turned and walked off.

Emily scoffed and shook her head. Unable to believe just how hostile he was being with her.

Emily was sitting with Leah in the staffroom. She had been telling her sister all about how Iain was acting.

Leah looked to her and smiled. "Do you think he's acting like this because he knows you're not changing your mind on another baby?" She asked.

Emily shrugged. She sighed. "I don't know. But I do know that things are gonna be hard."

Emily had no idea of the battles she and Iain were about to face when it came down to their daughter.
