Emily walked into work with Iain, She spotted Cal and the other junior doctors outside of the Ed, protesting "are you not joining?" Iain asked and Emily rolled her eyes "id rather not, I have better things to do then stand outside protesting freezing my arse off" Emily said "wouldn't want that, it is a very nice arse" lain smirked. Emily looked to Iain and rolled her eyes "perv" "you love me" Iain said as they stopped in the doorway. Emily smiled to Iain "yeah I do" she said as she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. Iain placed a hand on her waist and pulled her close to him "oi Iain, put her down you don't know where she's been" Cal called. Emily looked over shoulder ad glared to Cal who was walking in her direction "bog off" Emily said and Cal smiled "we don't want any life adult films at this time" Cal said "shut up" Emily said and Cal smiled "aren't you joining us, you are a junior doctor" Cal asked "i am, but I really don't fancy standing out here and freezing my arse off, besides the patients are what are important here" Emily said and Cal rolled his eyes at Emily as she walked into the hospital "ill see you later" Iain said as he kissed her lips and walked off. 

Emily started to get to work, When Sam worked over to her. She glanced up at him and looked away, trying her best to avoid him "Dr Beauchamp" "Mr Strachan" Emily said "you've been avoiding me, have you traded me in for the paramedic" Emily sighed and rolled her eyes as she went to check on Roy Ellison "i don't think this is the place do you" Emily said "fine, dinner tonight?" Sam asked "i don't think so" Emily said as Ethan walked over. Emily glanced to Iain standing outside of the hospital room and sighed "im taking a break" Emily said as she threw the chart that she was holding to Ethan and walked out to see Iain "hey, can we go for a walk?" Iain asked "sure, I need some air" Emily said. Iain and Emily walked outside of the ED "You okay?" Emily asked and Iain smiled to her "finding lily...It scared me" Iain said and Emily smiled "which is why, I want us to have a future together, I want you to move in with me" Iain said and Emily looked at him "are you being serious?" "yeah, I am what do you think" Iain asked "sure" Emily said and Iain smiled and kissed her. "i love you" "i love you too"

Emily walked back into the ED and found Cal and Ethan talking "Have you two hugged and made up yet?" Emily asked "shut up trouble" Cal said and Emily smirked "you love me" Emily said "someone has to" Cal teased. "funny" Emily said as she spotted Scott Ellison giving Ethan death stares "you okay Ethan?" Emily asked as he looked uncomfortable  around Scott "im going to get on with some work" Ethan said as he walked off "is he okay?" Emily asked "hes fine"

Emily yawned, she was nearing the end of her shift. She watched as a patient was rolled in and frowned when she realised that it was Cal "oh my god" Emily said as she went over. She had spotted that he had been stabbed. She felt tears fill in her eyes. Cal was her best friend and she couldn't bare the thought of loosing him. "Hes lost a lot of blood, Dylan  how long was he out there for?" Emily asked "too long" "hes been stabbed and its perforated the lung, hes gong to need a thoracotomy" Emily said as she was looked to cal. He looked to her "em" "im here, I've got you" Emily said as Cal looked at her "im scared" Cal said "im here, its okay" "Ethan" Charlie looked to Emily "alright, ill find him for you" Charlie said and Emily smiled.  "hes bleeding out, I cant feel a pulse" Jacob said "no, hes going to be fine" Emily said as she glanced to Cal, he was unconscious. "right, lets intubate him, please, quickly" Emily said as she looked to his heart rating dropping. "Emily....Emily.." Charlie said and Emily looked up at him "hes gone" Charlie said and Emily nodded, she knew he was. "emmy" Connie said and she nodded. Emily looked to Cal she could feel the tears in her eyes, She rushed out of the room feeling as if she couldn't breathe. Connie followed her "Emily" she said as she walked over and placed a hand on Emily's back. "i failed...I couldn't safe him, I failed him" Emily said as she cried. Connie hugged her "there was nothing we could do" Connie said.

Emily watched as Ethan walked in. She bite her lip as Ethan looked at him "what's happened?" he asked "Charlie, go with him" Connie said as Ethan walked in, to see that his brother had died.
