It's been a week and it's the day that Athena flies over from San Diego. Tyra is spending the day with her friends because it's a Saturday and is starting school on Monday; she is so excited. I am currently on my way to pick up Athena from the airport but told Tyra that I had a few errends to run so if she needed anything to call or text me. I pull in a parking space in the airport parking lot and head inside, standing and waiting near the entrance where I told Athena to meet me once she had grabbed her luggage and cleared security.

I was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans, a Motionless in White band shirt, my black Doc Martens and a beanie. I also wore a pair of large sunglasses so no-one recognised me; it seems lately I've been getting a lot more attention when I go out and didn't want Athena to be uncomfortable in any way. I didn't have to wait long before I spotted Athena stood, looking around for me. "Athena." I called out and waved to her. I massive smile appeared on her face and she picked up her bags before running towards me.

Bracing for impact, I opened my arms and caught her as she jumped into them; wrapping her limps around me as her bags fall to the floor. "Hello to you too." I say as I laugh. She laughs along with me, "Hey, I missed you and Tyra so much." she says and buries her face in my shoulder as she whispers, "Mama." so quietly that if I didn't have enhanced hearing, I wouldn't have heard it. My heart warms at this and a small, overjoyed smile spreads across my face. We pull away, I help her with her bags and I lead her to my car. We put them in the trunk, get in and buckle up for the journey to the hotel I booked for her.

As I start the car and begin the drive, Athena tells me about one of her friends she used to work with at the bar back in San Diego. "He is a massive wrestling fan and was so jealous when I told him that I know you." She says to which I chuckle, "And how did I come up in conversation?" I ask curiously. Now it was her turn to chuckle, "He brought up the fact that you were one of the wrestlers in San Diego for a show the other week and how he was really excited that he got to watch your matches so I slyly told him I knew you. Of course he didn't believe me at first so I showed him the pictures you, me and Tyra took together while you were there and told him you were the one who adopted my sister." she explains. "Needless to say he freaked out, asking if I could give him your number or set up a date with you but I told him no. I didn't think you would appreciate that." She finishes, I chuckle but nod in understanding and appreciation. "Yeah no, my love life is a little complicated at the moment so thank you for shutting him down for me." I reply and carry on my way to the hotel.

After a little while, we make it to the hotel and park outside. I help Athena with her bags and we make our way inside. When we get to the reception desk, the man working there looks at us and says, "Welcome, how may I help you today?" with a smile. I smile back, "Hi yeah, I have a room booked for my daughter." I say as I look down at Athena, who smiles back. He gives me a strange, judgemental look before asking, "What name is the booking under?" and I reply "It should be under Athena Jefferson." making him turn and check the computer.

He turns back to me and with fake sincerity tells me, "I'm sorry but I don't see a booking under that name." As he says this, his phone that's on the desk infront of him goes off with a notification. I notice that has a picture of me and him from the meet and greet I did, the same one where I first met Tyra; I remember the outfit I wore because that day is a day I'll never forget.

He sees me looking and picks up his phone, putting it in his pocket. I smirk and pull off my beanie, "How much do you like your job..." I question as I look at his name tag, "Griffin." He looks a little confused but answers, "I love my job." I nod my head and grin mischievously up at him. "Now, I don't usually do this but when someone disrespects me or my family then..." I start as I reach a hand up to my sunglasses, "Well, then we have a problem." I finish carmly as I pull them off and look up at him. His eyes go wide and he starts opening and closing his mouth like a goldfish, "So, I suggest you look again because I know, for a fact, that there is a booking under that name." I say with a smirk as Athena is trying not to laugh beside me.

He stands there for a few moments before nodding and turned to look up the name again. He turns back again and says, "Yes, here you are. Room 306" He proceeds to sort out the rooms keys and hands them to me, "I apologise for how I acted. I'm a huge fan and if I had known who you were, I would have never-" He starts but I cut him off, "Oh no. Absolutely not. It doen't matter who I am, you should never and I mean never act so shamelessly rude and judgemental towards people." I say slightly annoyed. He looks down ashamed which causes me to sigh, "Look, I accept your apology but in future, don't be a dick." I say, making him look at me and nod. With that, Athena and I walked towards the elevator and headed up to her room.
