On a chilly and dark November night, a remarkable feline was scaling the mountains with incredible speed. Her feline heritage proved to be advantageous when navigating the steep terrain. After a long and arduous journey, she finally arrived at her destination and found her home. As she looked around, she couldn't help but notice a small area that remained untouched by nature. It was a beautiful sight to behold.
As the wind began to pick up, the feline knew it was time to return to camp. She gracefully made her way down the mountain, her agile movements a testament to her feline prowess. Despite the cold and darkness, she felt a sense of contentment knowing that she had found her place in the world.
The feline's journey was a reminder that sometimes, the path to finding our true home can be difficult and challenging. But with perseverance and determination, we can overcome any obstacle and find our place in the world.
Suddenly, a flood of memories came rushing back, and she was finally able to recall everything about her past. And she was finally able to remember how she died.
As she chuckled to herself, she couldn't believe how obvious the truth had been all along. Finally, after much searching, she uncovered it.
Many years ago, Neferpitou was a Snow Leopard residing in the New Continent of Lake Mobius. Her original species lived high up in the cold mountains in Antarctica.
The temperatures can drop as low as minus 144/190 F (minus 98 /110C), making it the coldest place in the continent. Of course magical beast and many forms of creatures had to evolve to survive this harsh environment.
And Snow Leopards were no exceptions. While they may not have been magical beasts, they were still top predators of their class. They were solitary creatures that would normally stick to themselves and would only gather unless there was a mating season.
Snow leopards live in high-altitude mountainous terrain, usually at elevations of 3,000-4,500m. They prefer steep, broken landscapes such as cliffs, rocky outcrops and ravines.
For millions of years, these majestic felines have battled against other mystical beast and formidable predators. Yet, in the last two centuries, their population has dwindled due to the rapid expansion of human settlements. The rise in farming, poaching, and the loss of their natural habitats to human hunting have all contributed to the decline of these magnificent beasts.
But in the recent 50 years. A group effort has been establish in order to save the population and to keep these creatures from being extinct.
And it just so happens that our particular feline has joined such a group.
As she sat down and watch the snow fall slowly she remembered everything about her past life.
Even her death.
Unfortunately, Neferpitou met her untimely demise at the hands of a Chimera ant, or at least an early version of the species. This particular insect was massive and far larger than any opponent she had faced in her previous life. It was unlike any creature she had ever encountered before, vastly different from the usual prey and predators she had encountered. Despite fighting valiantly, Neferpitou suffered a fatal injury - a deep slash wound on her stomach - and accepted her fate. As a predator, she knew that it was the way of nature - eat or be eaten.
She recollected how her past life was a constant struggle for survival. She was born to her mother, but unfortunately, she was left to fend for herself after she got old enough to fend for herself. "So. I was originally born in the new continent...I can't believe I'm actually from the new world." Neferpitou said to herself.
"It is highly probable that the chimera ant met its demise and subsequently became sustenance for my original queen."
The wind started to pick up and it was time to head back to camp. A special someone was waiting for her. As she traverse down the mountain, she could remember the feeling running down this cliff many times without breaking a sweat.
