Sammy was tidying up his shop in the late afternoon. Recently, he hadn't encountered any gang members, which made him feel relieved. However, he couldn't shake off a sense of unease as no one had come to confront him yet. Nevertheless, he managed to concentrate on his work.
Suddenly, a familiar towering figure approached. It was Youpi, but he looked quite different. He was wearing a jacket that was clearly too small for him, and he had even removed the sleeves. His jeans were torn, and he was walking around without any shoes. "Oh hey Youpi! Uh...O.O ummm, I like the new......look?"
He nodded. "What, don't humans wear clothes?"
"Y-yeah! It's nice! Ummm, I was just surprised as is all...hehehe😅" he was being nervous at the mix match colors, so he was trying to be nice. Thankfully Youpi didn't understand and just simply nodded.
"Here is some money. I would like three large bowls," he requested.
"Certainly, sir!" Sammy immediately began working on preparing the pot. He had plans to make a spicy chili for him.
This kind of tranquility was something he truly appreciated. Youpi couldn't help but feel at peace in this moment. It was one of the rare occasions where he actually enjoyed himself.
"Listen, Sammy."
"Yes, sir?"
(He paused for a moment) "I might not return here," Youpi said to him. This statement piqued the boy's curiosity.
"What do you mean, Youpi?" he asked.
The look in Sammy's eyes said it all, he was confused and a bit saddened that his best customer might not come back. Despite this Youpi continued.
"I'm leaving for a while. You may never see me again."
The atmosphere became silent between the two. Whatever Youpi had going on, his wishes had to be respected.
Sammy gave him a warm smile and started preparing his food. "Come on, don't be silly! You'll always be my best customer... and I'm glad I met you, my friend," Sammy said as he served him his chili.
Friend. That word had never held any meaning for him. But now, Youpi... was content with being called a "friend." He embraced this feeling.
For Youpi, the past few days had been quite an experience. He had the opportunity to explore and even engage in a few fights, although they were rather one-sided. However, nothing compared to the taste of this food...this chili. It was undoubtedly the most delicious thing he had ever eaten in his entire existence.
Youpi decided to spend a little more time here with Sammy, cherishing the moment.
(Later that night, 12:00PM)
Pitou sat quietly, gazing at the mesmerizing night sky. Memories of her previous life as a royal guard flooded her mind. She couldn't help but wonder why she was suddenly reminiscing about her past.
In truth, Pitou felt a sense of tranquility. Despite her brief time as a guard, the fleeting moments she shared with Youpi...she wished she could have spent more time with him, or at least had the chance to talk a little more.
The time had finally come.....and Pitou was waiting patiently for his Arrival. (2 hours later)
