Chapter 10: Reluctant Help

Our Hunter Squad had finally put their plans in motion. But they need information first to know more about the Phantom Troupe's whereabouts.

Kurapika explained his experience facing one of their members a long time ago, Uvogin. He was a brutal and ruthless man that displayed his strength against his foes.

An enhancer type Nen user that was proud of his physical strength. However, despite his power he was overwhelmed by Kurapika's quick thinking and he was easily taken out.

Makoto was sad to hear that. She couldn't help but imagine herself fighting him at her younger age.

(😑.........) the group only facepalm at her comment.

While this information was good to know it still wasn't enough to fully understand their methods. The members were clever in hiding any of their tracks.

As the group continued moving Pitou asked this question. "I know this may seem far fetched, but.....do you think there's a possibility that they might have a member who can hide their tracks?" Said Pitou as she asked Kurapika.

He pondered this question and thought about it until he gave an answer. "Possibly.....but I'm afraid I never encountered a member that had that ability." He said.

Pitou continued. " okay, let's play hypothetical for a moment. Let's see someone had the ability to hide their tracks, do you and Gon and Killua remember anything from their past events?"

The three thought for a moment and Until Kurapika remembered something. Then it dawned on him as he remembered a particular scene. " the auction room....." he remembered there were hundreds of people bidding and guarding the action where all the valuable materials were.

And it was completely empty.

This shocked Pitou and Her friends. Millianna was trying to think exactly how could that possibly happen. Hundreds of People just suddenly vanished? It made no sense.

That's when Makoto said something that shocked everyone.

"They were all killed and someone had the ability to clean up the mess, if you really think about it using a Nen ability that allows you to clean up any evidence is genius and they must really incrediblely strong to have that ability."

(0_0) .............." everyone didn't know what to say at that impressive observation.

As the group continued on their journey. They stumbled upon a nearby town called Veridian.

This name combines "Veridianwood," which is a shade of green symbolizing growth and harmony, with "wood" to evoke a sense of nature and unity. It's a unique and evocative name.

Kurapika took this opportunity to look at the citizens of this town and it was populated by Humans, Demi Humans, and Chimeras. With a mixture of insect type and Human types. ( the ones that look like humans like Makoto and Millianna but with serious animalistic features or insects type features.

"This is..... incredible." He said as looked upon the twon at the front entrance.

One thing that caught his attention was seeing something that he never noticed up until now.

The group found themselves in a charming park where Chimera ant children played alongside their human counterparts. Neferpitou watched as a young Chimera ant girl and a human boy laughed while chasing a colorful butterfly.
