The next Day had finally arrived and Neferpitou looked at the sunset. Everything was leading to this point as she reminisced about the past.

She remained faithful to Meruem. She was committed to serving him unconditionally. Alongside Pouf and Youpi, they all demonstrated their unwavering loyalty to him.

However, it was this very loyalty that ultimately drove them apart.

She lay on the grass, deep in thought about her life.

Could things have been different if I had taken action?

Was there anything we could have done to alter our destinies?

These questions raced through her mind. But one memory kept replaying in her thoughts - the crucial moment when Komugi was injured during the attack. Meruem had specifically requested her assistance.

It was at that moment that she realized Meruem had undergone a transformation.

And now, after 10 years, she finally comprehends it.

While contemplating her circumstances regarding Meruem, Gon approached and reclined next to her. "Are you feeling okay?" he inquired with genuine concern.

She nodded. "I'm just reflecting on...how I arrived at this juncture in my life. However, at times, I wish...I could have altered certain aspects."

Gon pondered for a moment. After that life-changing day, he realized that he couldn't use his Nen anymore, even though he had risked his life to gain that power.

Killua's sister managed to lift the curse he had placed on himself, and slowly but surely, he began to regain his Nen.

In the following years, Gon dedicated himself to training and honing his skills, occasionally meeting up with his father.

There was no doubt in his mind that Pitou was still alive.

And now, after spending so much time together, he finally gave his answer. "I know it may sound selfish, but... Pitou, I don't think we would be here together if those events hadn't happened."

"Look, I'm not a philosopher, and I'm not that complicated when it comes to certain things. I'm just a simple guy who enjoys the simple things in life."

"Life is short and complicated. But I understand that you miss your friends, and I know how important they were to you. That's why we have to make the most of our time here."

"I'm not a religious person... Do our souls go somewhere else? Do we simply die and that's it? Or is there an afterlife? Personally, I don't know."

"So while we're still here on this earth... let's make the most of it, together."

"I wonder what you'll look like as an old chimera," 😋 he chuckled to himself.

Pitou also chuckled, appreciating his sense of humor. But she couldn't deny that he was right. "Thank you, Gon. I really appreciate you saying this to me," she said, lightly kissing his cheek and causing him to blush.
