Neferpitou and Angel found themselves at an Opera showcase. "This could be interesting," Pitou suggested with a smile.

"Why are we even here? I thought you had more pressing matters to attend to," Angel retorted. Despite Angel's protests, Pitou dragged her inside.

"Let go of me, you feline! I have no interest in human music," Angel complained.

"Relax and enjoy the moment! Let's have some fun. Plus, I have a feeling someone special might show up," Pitou replied, trying to lighten the mood.

As they went inside they headed for the top balcony to watch the performance. It was mostly empty so the two had their private viewing.

One person did show up, and it was something that Pitou wasn't expecting at all.

Neferpitou was taken aback by the unexpected presence of the person standing before her. Their eyes met, and in that moment, a rush of memories flooded Pitou's mind.

Regardless of whether this was the real Meruem or not, Pitou couldn't help but feel a sense of joy at the sight of their king. Deep down, seeing his face brought a sense of happiness.

"May I join you?" Meruem asked politely.

"Of course, please sit with us," Pitou offered.

As Angel took a seat beside them, she couldn't help but feel the immense power emanating from Meruem. This was the former king whom Pitou held in such high regard.

She was truly impressed.

Meruem: "The evening is quite pleasant, isn't it?"

Pitou: "Yes, it is," she replied softly.

Meruem: "Youpi is no longer here, is he? I assume you defeated him."

There was a moment of silence before Pitou confirmed that she had indeed defeated Youpi.

Meruem was genuinely surprised at first, wondering if Pitou had truly become that strong. It was evident that her experiences facing danger had shaped her into an exceptional Nen user.

Pitou: "My King... I mean, Meruem. Do you still remember our past life?" she turned to him with a gentle and melancholic smile.

Meruem: "I remember everything. I remember facing that human, and my final moments with Komugi. I remember the pure happiness I felt while playing Gungi with her. What happened to you? You weren't there that day."

It had been such a long time since that fateful day...

She commenced elucidating everything to him, providing a detailed account of her circumstances during the encounter with Gon.

The profound sorrow she experienced upon realizing the gravity of her heinous deeds led her to accept her impending demise. However, contrary to her expectations, she managed to survive. Learning of the demise of everyone around her, she was overwhelmed by a profound sense of loneliness.
