Gon and Kurapika were deep into their journey when Gon abruptly halted. Kurapika, sensing something was off, inquired about the sudden stop.
"Gon, what's going on?" he asked, puzzled.
Gon took a moment before responding, "Kurapika... we have to go back." His friend's confusion deepened, prompting him to ask for clarification.
Gon continued, "I can't shake this strange feeling... there's a scent in the air that I can't quite put my finger on. It just feels wrong... I have to find Pitou."
"I get it; we were supposed to track down Chrollo, but... I can't help it. I have to find Pitou and ensure she's safe."
Kurapika let out a deep sigh, recognizing his friend's priorities for the moment. This would mean pausing their mission until they could locate Pitou. " Come on, let's get going and find her"
With the two heading out they were unaware of the storm that was already brewing elsewhere in the city.
(Meanwhile)
Killua raced back to find Gon, his mind singularly focused, until he stumbled upon a figure in the distance. Instinctively, he switched to Zetsu, masking his presence as he silently approached the potential threat.
A Phantom Troupe member? Killua tensed, preparing himself for a fight. As he got closer, the figure came into focus, and his eyes widened in shock.
"Kalluto?!" he blurted, his voice a mix of disbelief and confusion. "Wait... he's part of the Phantom Troupe? Geez..."
Without hesitation, Killua closed the gap in an instant and tapped the figure on the shoulder.
"AH!" Kalluto yelped, startled, spinning around to face his older brother. His eyes widened in alarm, and he instinctively stepped back, readying himself for a fight.
"Killua?!" he stammered, his voice faltering.
"Relax," Killua said, raising his hands in mock surrender. His expression, however, was far from calm. "What the hell are you doing here, Kalluto? Shouldn't you be at home?"
Kalluto scowled, puffing up defensively. "I'm not a child anymore, brother! I can make my own decisions!"
Killua's eyes narrowed, his voice turning sharp. "Oh yeah? Because I could march back home right now and tell Dad where you've been. You know how he gets."
The threat lingered in the air, and for a moment, Kalluto hesitated, his bravado faltering. Killua's gaze shifted to Kalluto's hands, where he noticed something peculiar-paper dolls.
"Say, Kalluto..." Killua's tone softened slightly, though his eyes remained calculating. "I've been meaning to ask you something. That guy in the Troupe-Feitan. When were you planning on telling me he's our brother?"
A heavy silence hung between them, the weight of the question pressing down on both. Kalluto's grip on the paper dolls tightened, but he said nothing.
Killua crossed his arms, waiting for an answer. "Well?"
Kalluto looked away, his voice barely a whisper. "...I didn't think it mattered."
Killua's expression darkened. "Didn't think it mattered? Kalluto, we're family."
"If we're family, then why don't you ever come visit me?" Kalluto's voice cracked with emotion, his usually calm demeanor slipping. "I miss you, big brother. I only joined them to get back to us... like how it used to be."
Killua froze, the words hitting him harder than he expected. He avoided Kalluto's gaze for a moment, guilt creeping into his chest.
"Feitan..." Kalluto continued hesitantly, lowering his voice, "he eventually told me when I first joined the Troupe. He said not to say anything. Are you... are you going to kill him?"
