Chapter 11: Weaknesses X Strength

Neferpitou and Kurapika were approaching Cole's paranoid friend cautiously, their footsteps echoing softly on the dimly lit street. The evening breeze rustled the leaves, creating an eerie atmosphere that matched the tension in the air.

As they reached the front door of his house, he hesitated for a moment, casting nervous glances in all directions. His paranoia was palpable, and it reflected in his twitchy demeanor. The creaking door swung open, revealing a dimly lit interior that seemed to have seen better days.

The stranger motioned for them to enter, his voice barely above a whisper, "Hurry, get inside. We can't risk being seen."

Pitou and Kurapika entered the dimly lit living room, where every shadow seemed to hide secrets. The strange man led them to a rickety old sofa, and they all sat down. The room was filled with an unsettling silence as they waited for him to share the information they so desperately sought.

With each passing moment, the weight of the unknown pressed down on them, and the seriousness of their mission was more evident than ever. This encounter could be a turning point in their quest to uncover the Spider's secrets, and they were prepared for whatever revelations awaited them in this eerie, tension-filled room.

Pitou tried breaking the silence. "Ummm.....Sooooo..... lovely place you got here, I like the....( she pause for a moment) I like the colors...ehehe...😅"

She tried really hard to start a conversation.

Pitou's attempt to break the silence with light-hearted commentary brought a faint smile to Kurapika's lips, a rarity in these intense moments.

He nodded in agreement, appreciating Pitou's effort to diffuse the tension. Kurapika replied, "Yes, it's quite a..... unique, atmosphere you have. It definitely stands out." He paused for a moment before continuing, "But we're here for a reason. We're hoping you can help us with any information regarding the Phantom Troupe."

( while Pitou and Kurapika are trying to make conversation, the rest of the Hunter Squad were busy with other activities.)

Gon was busy trying his to think of plan exactly how get any information about the Phantom Troupe. Alongside with him was Makoto, and it was safe to say that the two were having a hard time.

"Man this harder than I was expecting.... it's almost if nobody wants to talk to us" Said Gon as he was taking a break from walking around.

"Man this sucks, I hope the others are having a better time than us....say Gon, have you noticed something strange as of late." Makoto asked him.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean with Pitou... something is off about her. I mean I understand that she wants to do everything to save Mina, but.... she's been kinda losing her cool.

The two ponder for a moment and truth be told Gon had noticed some of the changes. Her temper had been going out of hand as of late, perhaps all of this was getting to her and she was just keeping all of her emotions in.

"Don't worry Makoto, I'm sure Pitou will be alright." He reassures her"

"Well alright then.... anyways, how about we grab something to eat! I betcha they got some awesome food here Gon" she excitedly express herself.

"Don't you think we should keep searching for information?😕"

"Aw come on, it won't be long. We're just taking a break is all.

Gon was hesitant about this but eventually gave in and thought it wasn't such a bad idea, after all the others were still looking for information.

( Meanwhile Rem, Killua, and Millianna were busy having a discussion with a stranger figure, and that stranger was....a child?)
