Madelynn's POV

We arrived back at base and a lot have changed. Pietro finally got a girlfriend, Vision and Wand didn't live there anymore and had 2 kids, then I learnt that Thor and Ana were married and had a daughter, and Steve and Nat were together.

That last part was confusing because I swear that she and Bruce would be a thing. The jet landed and I stepped out to be hugged immediately by Thor who gave me a bone crunching hug.

"I missed you too Thor." I barely uttered as I felt my ribs almost break. "Don't kill my fiancée." Bucky laughed as Thor put me down gently.

"I didn't know that Lady Madelynn was engaged." "Neither did I." I responded turning my attention to Bucky who was down on one knee and took out a small golden box.

Most were just as stunned as I was while tge others were happy, and by others I mean Nat and Wanda.

"I did make a promise to you a very very long time ago that I would marry you and today would seem perfect enough to do so. I don't want to keep the both of us waiting because let's admit it, we can't ensure that everything would run smoothly on a mission so let's get it over with ok? I love you with every cell in my body-" "And machine parts?" I asked with tears in my eyes.

"And machine parts." He laughed holding my hand. "Madelynn Stark you are one of the best things that have ever happened to me and I really want to keep you as long as you keep me."

I knelt to his level and kissed him passionately. I nodded before saying yes. The others erupted in cheers as Bucky opened the box and put the ring on my finger.

It was gorgeous and I kissed him again a bit longer than before. "Ok lovebirds I allowed it one time don't push it." Dad laughed patting us both on the shoulder.

Bucky got up and helped me up as well. The team congratulated us before we retired to bed.

It was the morning of my wedding day and I was exhausted and happy to say the least. Mostly happy. I rolled on my left to see my soon to be husband but no one was there.

I sat up and examined the bed and saw a note he left.

Hey doll, if you're wondering why I'm not next to you right now is because of the bad luck around seeing your fiancée before the wedding. I don't want to risk it especially for you. Oh and I won't be in base until the ceremony. I love you very much.

I placed the note on my bedstand before pulling the sheet over my head in an attempt to fall back into sleep but someone had other plans.

Pepper pulled the sheet up with Nat, Wand and a nine year old Morgan standing in my room. "Have you guys forgotten how to knock?" I asked burying my face into my pillow.

"And have you forgotten its your wedding day?" Morgan questioned. "Guess my sass is rubbing off on Morgan." I muttered raising off my bed.

As soon as I got off my bed I was blind folded. "I can't fight this off can't I?" I questioned. "Nope." The others answered.

I was dragged out of the room by the four ladies and could hear dad shouting orders in the background to perhaps the organizer. All I knew was that the wedding was happening somewhere I cherished the most.
