FORTITUDE IN BATTLE, HONOUR IN VICTORY. Those were the words that House Park, a formidable house of the realm, stood behind. Their sigil, the proud bear, symbolised their strength and unwavering loyalty. Within the confines of a secluded study, Lord Park and Ser Park, the brothers who held significant positions of power, engaged in a conversation that carried the weight of their shared support for Jieun as the rightful heir to the throne.
Lord Park, a stern and seasoned lord with a salt-and-pepper beard, leaned back in his chair, his gaze fixed upon his younger brother. Ser Park, clad in his resplendent armour, exuded an aura of authority and unwavering determination. They were men of action, guided by a deep-rooted sense of duty.
'There have been sightings of the Princess in Old Town. Prince Riki was said to have been in the library of the Old Citadel, being taught my Master Bao himself moments before they fled the city,' Lord Kim said, his voice carrying a tone of authority and concern. The council members sat around a large, intricately carved table, their expressions reflecting a mixture of intrigue and apprehension. Lord Park, his gaze focused and resolute, listened intently as Lord Kim relayed the recent sightings of Princess Jieun and Prince Riki.
Sunoo, Lord Kim's son and a young noble with a sharp mind, leaned forward, his eyes gleaming with curiosity. 'Master Bao? The renowned scholar and strategist? What could the princess and Prince Riki have sought from him?'
Lord Kim sighed, his fingers tapping lightly on the polished surface of the table. 'That, my dear son, is yet unknown. But it is clear that they are plotting something, seeking knowledge or support that could aid them in their cause.'
The new king was adorned with garments of his dead father, his crown resting upon his head. 'What must be done, Lord Kim? How can we ensure that Firestone remains under our control?'
A small hum left Lord Lee's as he stroked his cheek thoughtfully. 'It seems the princess has found allies in unexpected places. We must be cautious.'
This time, it was Sunoo who spoke up again. 'We need to anticipate their moves. They will seek allies and resources to strengthen their cause. We must gather intelligence and stay one step ahead.'
