THE GRAND HALL WAS FILLED WITH A MIX OF ANTICIPATION AND SKEPTICISM AS THE PEOPLE OF THE WEST GATHERED TO WITNESS THE CORONATION OF RIKI AS THEIR NEW KING. Whispers and hushed conversations echoed through the chamber, fuelled by the propaganda and fears that had been sown about the people of the East.
Jieun stood by Riki's side, her presence a testament to their alliance and the bond they shared. Heeseung, Jake, and Sunghoon stood nearby, their imposing figures serving as protectors of Jieun, a constant reminder of the East's presence in the West.
As the ceremony commenced, the Master of Faith, the highest authority of the West's religious order, stepped forward. The weight of his role and the responsibility he held were evident in the lines etched upon his face. He carried the voice of the gods, the conduit between the divine and mortal realms.
With measured steps, the Master of Faith approached Riki, who stood tall and resolute, ready to accept the crown and the burdens that came with it. The crowd held their breath, their eyes fixed upon the young prince, skeptical and unsure of what the future would hold under his rule.
The Master of Faith raised his hands, his voice resonating throughout the hall. 'People of the West, hear me now,' he began, his tone commanding attention. 'Today, we witness the crowning of Riki, son of King Nishimura, as the true king of our lands.'
A murmur rippled through the crowd, a mixture of doubt and curiosity. The people looked to each other, their expressions questioning, their hearts burdened by the memories of a tyrant king.
Jieun observed the crowd, her eyes scanning the faces, searching for signs of acceptance or resistance. The skepticism was evident, etched upon the features of the people who had endured the rule of King Nishimura. The propaganda that painted the East as a land of cruelty and evil had taken its toll, breeding fear and mistrust.
But as the Master of Faith placed the crown upon Riki's head, an air of solemnity settled upon the hall. The weight of the crown symbolised the burden he would bear, the responsibility he would shoulder.
But then, like a gentle breeze awakening a slumbering forest, a single voice rose from the crowd. 'Long live the King!' The words carried a hesitant hope, as if testing the air for the response it would receive.
