THE DAY AFTER THE FEAST CAME BY QUICKLY, and Jieun found herself waking up in a state of grogginess and fatigue. As the sun timidly peeked through the curtains, she let out a small groan, lazily rolling over in bed, her movements threatening to land on top of Riki.

The impact of her elbow meeting his stomach roused Riki from his slumber. He grumbled in protest, his voice laced with a mixture of annoyance and amusement. 'Jieun, what are you doing?'

The soft morning light illuminated the room, revealing a playful grin on Jieun's face as she finally registered her husband's voice. 'Sorry, Riki,' she mumbled, blinking the sleep from her eyes.

Riki chuckled, pulling her closer and wrapping his arms around her. 'You're lucky I have a sturdy stomach,' he teased, pressing a gentle kiss on her forehead.

'Mmm, I must've dreamt of a wild horse chase,' Jieun replied, still half-asleep. 'Your fault, you know, for filling my head with all those horse stories.'

'Ah yes, blame it on the horses,' Riki laughed, running his fingers through her hair. 'You always did have a fascination with them.'

'That's because they're magnificent creatures,' Jieun defended, slowly waking up and becoming more animated. 'Maybe we should get a few more horses for the castle grounds, don't you think? Lord Sakamoto's gift was a reminder of how much I miss having them around.'

'More horses, my Queen?' Riki chuckled. 'Well, as long as they don't end up sleeping on our bed.'

'Oh, but just imagine the comfort, Riki. A bed filled with fluffy horses, and we'd be the rulers of the coziest kingdom in the land.'

Riki could not help but laugh heartily at her whimsical idea. 'You never fail to surprise me, Jieun.'

'Well, that's the advantage of being married to a Queen,' she replied playfully. 'Expect the unexpected.'

'Ah, the unexpected, huh? Well, I hope you're prepared for a lifetime of surprises, my Queen. Because I have a few tricks up my sleeve as well.'

'Oh, is that so, my King? Do tell. What kind of tricks are we talking about?'
