Love, Hate and Death (Light Yagami x Reader)

CH 11 GENTLEMAN

"Hey, Hara. Good mo-" I greeted Hara when she suddenly cut me off and hugged me as tight as she could. 

"Oh, y/n, hey.. glad to see that you're not too upset about what happened..Light was such a gentleman for that, really."  

"Upset? About what?" I lifted myself from the hug and looked at her, curious to hear about an issue concerning Light.

"Huh? Do you not know yet? The medical director heard about what happened to Light Yagami, how he went missing, how a random stranger got in his room and the other incidents despite Doc Daiki's efforts of hiding it from the higher ranks and well, since you're the nurse assigned o him, you were going to take full responsibility for it" Hara explained while I stood in front of her, unable to speak. 

"Light somehow heard about this and he found a way to talk to them, the medical director and other supervisors. He admitted that it was mostly his fault, he even told them that he willfully let that strange man in his room."

What? But when I came in the room and spotted Doc Daiki's brother, Light was asleep. How could he have possibly let that guy in and..how did he know that someone went in his room?

"Hey, you okay..? Don't worry too much about it. You would still receive punishment from the board but it's definitely going to be less harsh now that Light talked to them" Hara placed her hand on my back to comfort me, rubbing and caressing as a way to offer some consolation. "It sure is impressive though, how Light managed to convince them to go easy on you. He's not just brains, he also has his way with words, don't you think? With that face of his, it's such a shame that he forgot so much of his memories" Hara was just thinking loud at this point while my mind was still in shambles. I felt grateful for Light's efforts in trying to protect me but it wasn't his responsibility. I was the nurse in charge so it was still my fault. 

I have to go to him right now.. 

"And maybe he's really great with the girls too but I heard he's singl-" I inhaled deeply and walked away, not looking back. "Hey, Y/N, where are you going?!" Hara was yelling but her voice slowly faded as I started to run. 

What's happening, really? All these weird occurrences are slowly starting to make no sense and usually, I wouldn't care but.. 

but there's an exception to that.. I realized that I only care when it comes to-

"Light!" My voice echoed all over the empty room. His bedsheets were perfectly arranged like it was never used by anyone, his blanket was folded right beside his fluffy pillows. I looked around and turned my attention to the television which was still on. 

[According to the police, agents from Interpol and FBI were dispatched to lead the manhunt. A new light shone upon this case as the detectives have found Kira's secret lair where his plans are all laid out and his list of criminals are written in a plain piece of paper. Though Kira was not spotted in the lair, we are searching and covering the area for what we have found in his supposedly called plans is absolutely horrifying. Stated here, Kira plans to kill innocent children and teenagers.]

What? What is happening, why is Kira becoming the very thing he hated? 

[Rest assured, the forensics are searching and investigating every inch of the lair for any signs of Kira's whereabouts. The whole world has heard about this discovery and the federal government of several countries have agreed to offer any help they can in order to catch Kira and bring justice.
