2 months went by and Peter was fairly sure of one thing: Ironman was going easy on him. The villain didn't let Peter come too close, but he didn't shoot Peter at all if it wasn't in self defense. Unlike with the other Avengers, whom Ironman shot with any chance he got. Peter suspected it was because of his age; it was always because of his age.
Anyway, he didn't mind. Even though Ironman did still fight him if Peter tried to attack, Peter still had the upper hand. He hadn't caught Ironman yet, but he was determined and he did come close (he thinks) a few times. But, the Avengers noticed Ironman's soft spot too, so they were now suspicious of him. They thought he might be working with Ironman or something, which was utter bullshit, but he couldn't really change their minds.
Everything was going well, until Ironman's soft spot seemed to have disappeared one day.

2 months went by and Tony was fairly sure of one thing: He was going easy on Spiderman. He hadn't even noticed until he'd overheard a small conversation between Rogers and the Widow. Apparently, they suspected that the Spiderling might be working with him. That's when he had realized he'd been going real easy on the kid.
Anyway, he didn't mind. Even though Spiderman did still try to attack him and even got close to actually doing some damage to him a few times, he still didn't want to hurt the kid. He'd never admit it, but the quips had grown on him, and Spiderman was simply too pure.
Everything was going well, until his parents' anniversary arrived.
---
Now Tony knew this was the worst day in the whole year to go out as Ironman, but he ignored Friday's protests as he let the suit engulf him. It was his parents' anniversary. He usually drank his feelings away, drowning himself in multiple kinds of extremely expensive bottles of alcohol, but he had Ironman now, and he really needed to blow off some steam.
So he flew. He ordered Friday to up the thrusters many times until he was speeding through the city at such high speed that the pedestrians beneath him could only see a blur. It began raining, but he didn't feel it through the suit, he just heard it. He heard voices beneath him and the dripping rain around him, he heard sirens just a few blocks away and-
He heard a thwip.
He scowled in annoyance as a thick web latched itself onto his boot and a sudden weight hung on him. It wasn't the first time that Spiderman had webbed himself to Tony's suit, hell, Tony even thought it was fun at times, but right now he was so incredibly annoyed. Dangerous annoyance. Annoyance which turned into anger because Spiderman was a kid who, after he'd annoyed Tony, would probably go back to his parents. Parents, a luxury which Tony didn't have.
Tony landed on a building and Spiderman landed behind him. "Hi mr. Ironman! I have to say, I didn't expect you to be out with this weathe-" Before Spiderman could finish his sentence, Tony shot at the kid. Spiderman seemed to be caught off guard as the blast grazed his thigh. He grunted and Tony would feel bad, he would feel so incredibly guilty if it wasn't for today's date.
He wanted parents, even if they had been shitty. He was so angry, he didn't think. He shot and shot and just kept shooting, upping the force and hitting Spiderman multiple times. Once the kid was on the ground, groaning as he desperately tried to crawl away, Tony stepped closer. But it wasn't like that first time Tony had shot him, Ironman didn't step closer because he wanted to help; Ironman stepped closer because he wanted to kill.
He wanted the world to suffer for what it put him through.
But as he towered over Spiderman's weak form, lifting his hand and powering up his blaster, Tony couldn't bring himself to shoot. Spiderman was trembling from the cold, the mechanic lenses of his suit wide and his blood seeping out of his wounds, mingling with the rain. Tony could have sworn he even heard a small 'no, please' escape from the kid's lips. He still stood over him, arm aimed at the hero, but before he could do anything else, Spiderman fell limp.
