A glitch in the matrix, as you could call it. Tony Stark got sucked into some random universe (during nwh bc he also knows peter parker.) and when Strange cast the spell to make everyone from different universes go back he didn't and he also didn't forget Peter.

Tony was really fucking confused. Just a second ago he was at the tower, working on mark 64 and then he felt as if something was pulling at him. He'd turned around, confused at what was happening, but all he could see was a bright flash before he passed out.

Later, he awoke in an alleyway in Queens with no idea where the fuck he was or how the fuck he got here. So, he started making his way towards the tower, which he could see from where he was. People gave him weird looks, so he quickly hid his face with a newspaper he found on the sidewalk.

He wasn't planning on actually reading it, but a picture quickly caught his eye. It was of spider man, but half of his face was filled with Peter's. Large letters spelled the words "PUBLIC ENEMY NUMBER #1" and Tony stopped in his tracks as he began to read the article.

When the hell did this happen? Peter stopped by the tower just yesterday! Just as Tony was about to start walking again, something absurd happened. It- It faded?

Tony stared with wide eyes at the newspaper as everyone suddenly stopped walking, frozen in place. Tony glanced back at the photo, where Peter's face was dissapearing, morphing into spiderman's mask again as all the mentions of Peter Parker in the article also dissapeared.

It was like magic.

Suddenly everyone began moving again as if nothing happened. What the hell just happened?

---

Peter felt really, really fucking shitty. No one knew who he was, no one remembered him, no one knew his name.

No one.

Despite the misery he was in, Peter got to work. He rented an apartment, got 3 small jobs and made a new spiderman suit. But what he did absolutely not expect, was to find a supposed to be dead and cold Tony Stark in his apartment.

Peter had just gotten back from a long day of working spidermanning when he came home, hoping to relax. But there he was. Tony fucking Stark.

Tony snapped his head up when Peter walked in, a smirk playing on his lips. "Underoos! Been long enough, what do you do all day, kid? Seriousl-"

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" Peter interrupted. He was not falling for this. He didn't know how this person figured out who he was or where he lived, but he was not having it.

"Kid. I'm Tony Stark. I-" Before he could continue, he was pulled up from the chair by his collar, being pushed against the wall harshly. Tony looked down into Peter's eyes in surprise.

A dead void stared back. Coldness and rage hidden behind the brown of his eyes. "Don't make me ask again." Peter hissed harshly, putting some pressure on Tony's throat.

"Woah- Kid, calm down- I know I'm apparently dead here, I don't know how this happened but-" He sputtered out, but he was interrupted once again as he was thrown to the floor.

"You are dead. I watched you die. I watched the life drain out of you. I heard your heartbeat slow down and stop. I attended your funeral. I had to comfort your crying daughter. Who doesn't remember me, by the way. So how do you? Hm? How do you know my name, who are you, and why are you here?" Peter's voice was cold, a hint of mocking humor laced in his tone.

Peter stood threateningly over Tony, ready to attack when needed. "I- Kid- I think I'm from another universe." Tony quickly stuttered out when Peter got closer. Peter stopped in his tracks. A flicker of hope wandered across the boy's face, but it didn't last long, mistrust and coldness replacing it.

"Well, get back to your own, then." Peter pulled Tony up harshly and shoved him out of the apartment. "And don't come back."

The door slammed shut, leaving Tony stunned.

Later, Tony found himself at Dr. Strange's sanctum. He just hoped that magic worked the same as it did in his universe.

God, he wished Peter would've believed him. The kid had looked the exact same as the one in his universe, but he was different. This Peter was dull, scarred, filled with mistrust. Like he had gone through just a little bit too much. And yes, Tony feels hurt by Peter's words, but the concern was much stronger. What the hell happened?

Tony knocked on the ancient looking door and it quickly opened, revealing dr. Strange. The sorcerer stared with wide eyes for a moment, before speaking. "Am I dead, am I dreaming or are you some sort of illusion?" Tony rolled his eyes, he was already done with explaining this.

"I think I'm from another universe. You need to help me get back and prove to someone that I am indeed from another universe." Strange groaned as he stepped aside to let Tony in. "God, I hate the multiverse.... Okay so first just stop into the circle. It's a new spell we found after an incident with a witch to see if someone is a multiversal traveler and if so, from which universe." Strange explained as Tony stepped into a gold circle.

After a few minutes of Strange doing his thing, he told Tony he could step out of the circle. "It seems that you are indeed from another universe. Universe 319, which is almost similar to ours. Now, who'd you need to prove it to?" Strange said.

"Uhm, Peter Parker."

"Alright, follow me, I can show him the results of the spell." Strange opened a portal and they both stepped through it into the same old apartment Tony was just in. "What the fuck." Peter mumbled in annoyance and surprise.

"Peter Parker," Strange began, and Tony noticed that same flicker of hope crossing over Peter's face again. "I am here to show you that this Tony Stark is a multiversal traveler from world 319, he was summoned here by a spell I did some days ago, but I can't seem to remember what spell." Tony frowned at the new information and Peter grew red.

"Oh, uhm, okay. ... Then, you should probably, like, get him back to world 319, r-right?" Peter was stumbling over his words. He looked like he was about to have a full panic attack. "Yes, indeed I should, but Stark wanted me to prove it to you. Also.. do you know what happened with that spell?"

Peter grew even more red. "Uhm- I might've gotten involved.." Strange send a harsh glare. "I might've had my identity revealed because I'm spiderman and then I went to you for help but it sucked everyone who knew Peter Parker into this universe so youhadtomakeeveryoneforgetwhopeterparkerwas." Peter rushed out hurriedly.

It was silent for a moment before Strange snapped out of it. "Right. So, you're like 12 and everyone forgot about you?" Peter mumbled a small '17'.

"Pete-" Tony began, going to comfort his- the kid, but Peter interrupted. "Don't, mr. Stark. I'm sorry about before, but- I- You are leaving to go to your own universe, and I don't want to get close again only to lose you again. I can't do that again." Peter's voice was wavy and Tony stepped back.

He understood.

"I have to send you back, Stark." Tony nodded as Strange began to open a different looking portal. It was blue in the shape of a star as the number 319 appeared in the middle.

"I love you, kid."

And he was gone, the portal closing behind him. Peter almost burst into tears right there and then. "Uhm, o-okay. Goodbye, dr. Strange." Stephen resisted the urge to comfort Peter and gave a small nod, pity radiating off it.

"Farewell." A gold portal appeared and Strange stepped through it. Looking into those dull eyes one more time, he closed the portal. What did his past-self think making everyone forget a kid? There must have been another way.

Meanwhile, back at Peter's, the boy had collapsed to the floor. Chest heaving and tears pooling around him. Panic flooded over him in large waves as he sat curled up in the small apartment.

He was alone again.

Not so happy ending. And not so good story. I don't like it.
