I'm writing this about my experience of subways in Europe, I've never been to America, maybe it works differently there, lol.

3rd person pov

Tony's life was getting.. boring. He had everything he desired, all the money in the world, he had lived every experience but yet, he was so, so bored. Because the one thing he didn't have, was a someone.

Someone to love, someone to care for, someone to laugh with, all that jazz. But Tony just denied the fact he needed someone, not something, so he tried some new things, and he had grown a liking for just randomly taking the subway. The feeling of being an every day person, watching people doing their own things and all traveling by a silly, gross little train, Tony absolutely loved it.

-

Tony scanned his all-year-subway-ticket and quickly stepped through the little gate. He didn't have anything on to hide who he was, he had learned that people didn't give a single fuck and mostly just avoided looking at people.

Suddenly he almost got run over by a lady in a pencil skirt and a blouse. A week ago he would've scolded the lady, but Tony now understood the rules of the subway. A loud zoom rang through the station and Tony jumped into the vehicle just before the doors closed, bumping into someone while doing so.

The person, a boy, fell to the ground harshly, not having prepared for the impact. "Ohw.." He muttered, rubbing his head and getting up slowly, stumbling back again when the subway made a small, sharp turn.

"Oh, sorry kid." Tony had been doubting if he should say something or not, not wanting to draw attention to his face, but he decided it would be appropriate as he just pushed a kid over.

"Huh? Oh, it's oka- Tony Stark!? Woah, it's an honor, mr. Stark Ironman sir!" Tony cringed internally, already regretting saying sorry to the kid because more people were looking now. People began taking their phones out in a matter of milliseconds, and Tony was relieved when a voice announced that they were at the next stop.

"Yeah, nice to meet you." Tony quickly got off the subway, pulling his hood on and speeding up some stairs to get out of the station. "Wait, mr. Stark! Could I get an autograph!?" Tony rolled his eyes in annoyance, just wanting to get away. He kept walking for a bit, hoping the boy would think he hadn't heard him and that he would just leave.

He got to a bigger street just when the kid slowed down next to him. "Mr. Stark! Could you please-" Tony was getting annoyed and he cut the teen off quickly. "No. Sorry, I'm bu-"

"LOOK OUT!"

Suddenly Tony was harshly pushed to the side, falling down to the pavement, hitting his head and scraping his arm in the process. Tony could just see the car speeding towards the boy, it seemed like slow motion. Tony reached his arms out, trying to grab the kid, but he was too late. The kid was flung to the side when the car hit him, the sound of bones breaking making its way into Tony's ears.

Tony quickly got up, ignoring all the people looking at him, and he stumbled towards the teen's limp body. Blood dripped down the boy's dark curls, making its way onto his round face and closed eyes. His side was bleeding heavily, the red fluid pooling around his body, staining his loose jeans and green sweatshirt.

"Shit. Kid? Shit shit shit." Tony scooped the kid up, putting pressure on the boy's bleeding side and calling his suit. After 13 seconds, what seemed like 13 years, the suit engulfed Tony. Immediately, Tony took off to the tower.

Arriving at the tower, he sped towards the medbay, calling all the nurses and doctors together to take care of the kid.

Tony didn't even know his name. He'd just been thinking of him as the subway kid.

---

Tony had run a facial scan over the kid, now named Peter Benjamin Parker, after he himself got checked out by some nurses. He quickly contacted the kid's guardian, May Parker, to let her know about what happened.

Just as Tony was grabbing some cookies from the cupboard Friday's voice rang through the room, announcing that Peter had woken up. Tony dropped the cookies, heading to the medbay.

As he arrived, he pushed the doors open, stepping into a clean, spotless medical room. He saw Peter looking up at him from a bed, the teen's eyes widening as he recognized Tony.

"Mr. Stark! Woah. Where am I? What happened? Why does my head hurt? Ohw.." Peter rubbed his head, eyes scrunching closed a little. "Hey kid. You're at my tower in the medbay, you jumped in front of a car. That's most likely why your head hurts." Tony sat down on a chair by the bed.

Peter frowned. "Why did I jump in front of a car?" He asked, confusion laced in his voice. "Because otherwise I would get hit, probably. So, I contacted your aunt, she should be able to pick you up. Kay? Great." Tony was about to leave again, but Peter's voice stopped him from doing so.

"Can- Can I get some food? It's okay if not, of course, it's just that I'm kinda hungry, I don't even know why, I'll stop being hungry, maybe I should go home-"

"Kid. I'll get you some food. You like cheeseburgers?" Peter nodded. "Same. I'll get someone to get some for you." And with that Tony left. He felt bad for the kid, sure, but he wasn't good with kids, and he wasn't planning on learning to do so.

An hour later, Friday's voice rang through the room again. "Sir, it seems that Peter Parker has entered lab 1A" Tony jerked his head up. What the hell was this kid doing?

Tony rushed to the lab to find Peter bent over a project, a very important project. "What do you think you're doing, kid?" Tony asked, voice harsh as he pulled Peter away from the table. Peter looked up with wide eyes, a pencil falling from hand. "S-Sorry sir, it's just- I- I'm sorry, I didn't think, I'm sorry." Peter looked down in shame, and Tony let his gaze glide over the scribbling on the project.

Jesus. Did this kid just fix that equation? "Did you solve that equation, kid?" Peter nodded, not looking up. Tony let go of Peter's arm to look at the now solved problem. "Kid, this is amazing. You didn't say you were smart."

Peter avoided Tony's look, eyes darting around the room nervously. Just as Tony was about to say something, Friday spoke.

"May Parker has arrived at the tower and is now heading up to lab 1A." Peter jerked his head up. "Great. Uhm, I should go- Could you-? Thanks." Tony stepped aside so Peter could leave just as the elevator doors opened with a ping. "May!"

"Peter! God, baby, I was so worried, are you okay?" May began examining her nephew thoroughly. "He's alright. Sorry for the incident, he's okay to leave now." Tony said and May looked up.

"Ah, right. Thank you, mr. Stark." Tony gave a nod. "Uhm, right. We should go now, thanks mr. Stark." Peter said as the duo headed into the elevator.

"Bye, kid."

Tony felt a strange feeling as soon as they left. He felt really lonely. (Again?)

Maybe he missed the subway kid.

The end. Voila.
