I don't think Peter could've just walked away after the homecoming fight. So let's fix that shit.
---
The only thing he could think of was pain. His shoulder ached, his abdomen ached, his whole fucking body ached. He had already made the stuff on the plane secure with webs and left a note with the plan to leave after, but he felt like he couldn't move. Or if he could, that it would be very painful. So Peter stumbled a few feet, maybe it took 2 minutes, maybe it took an hour, he didn't know, but there he collapsed.
In the dark, next to a burning beach, almost at the foot of the cyclone, just behind a few bushes, which's roots were turning red with Peter's blood, eyes closing and one pained whimper leaving his lips.
-
Happy was not happy. He just heard about the plane crash, and now he was in a car arriving at the beach. They didn't know what happened yet, no one saw, but they do know that it was bad.
Happy stepped out of the car, his eyes gazing over the beach which was flaming with orange. He stepped around in the sand, a team following him. He headed towards the crates and frowned when he saw some random guy in a scattered wing suit sitting against one. Wait- Not sitting- No, webbed.
Happy's now panicked gaze now wandered of to the other crates, which were messily piled up and, yes, webbed together. He saw a note, and that confirmed it. Peter. Peter was here, but he was nowhere to be found.
Happy grabbed his phone hastily, dialing Tony's number.
--
Tony was doing okay. He was a bit lonely. Rhodey was gone on some mission, Pep and him were on a break, Happy was busy with the plane and he had no one else. Randomly, Tony's thoughts drifted of to Peter. Tony was doubting his decision about taking the kid's suit away.
Suddenly, his phone rang, and Tony lazily reached out to it. Frowning when the screen read Happy. "Hey Hap, what's up. Is something wrong?" Tony heard Happy's heavy, panicked breathing. "Tony- The plane, it crashed- But that's not all, Tony. Webs- There are webs- But he's nowhere to be found- Peter-" Tony threw the phone down as he called for a suit.
He doesn't know why he is so worried, maybe it was something about the way Happy sounded, but he knows he needs to find the kid.
-
Arriving at the beach, hovering over the hot sand, he asked Friday for heat signals which matched humans. "Multiple signals detected, but assuming you are not searching for the people who are already in sight, there is a heat signal coming from one of the bushes to your right."
Tony rushed over there, clumsily landing in his hurry. And indeed, there he was, Peter Parker. The boy was pale, blood running down his forehead and nose, clad in his old, battered suit, which served no protection, most of the red colored in with a darker shade of red, blood, or sand and dust.
Tony scooped the teen up, ignoring his growing guilt complex and rushing to the medbay, sending Happy a text too.
He could only wonder what the fuck had happened as the medics took Peter into another room, telling him he couldn't go with the kid.
---
Peter woke slowly, eyes fluttering open only to squeeze shut at the bright light. As he slowly got used to the light, he looked around.
He was in a clean, white room, medical equipment surrounding him, one of the wires leading to his arm. In one the chairs next to the bed sat a man Peter immediately recognized.
"Mr. Stark?" Peter said nervously as the man shot up from the chair. "Kid, you're awake, thank god."
Peter frowned as he tried to remember what had happened. "What happened?" He mumbled out. "You tell me kid, i found my plane wrecked and you half dead in a bush."
Peter blushed, memories flooding back, and guilt swarmed his stomach. "I'm sorry mr. Stark, I didn't mean to crash the plane, really, I just wanted to stop him but I didn't know how, I'm really sorry, I-"
Peter began to ramble nervously, but Tony cut him of.
"Kid, calm down. You saved my stuff, so thanks I guess, but you nearly died, underoos. Don't- Just don't do that again, I have heart issues, you know that right?" Peter nodded and smiled slightly as Tony ruffled his hair and stood up, leaving the room.
"Also, May found out so I guess you're dead anyway." Peter paled as he heard the clicks of May's heels in the hallway.
