TW: Death?

3rd person pov
After homecoming, Tony didn't really talk to Peter again. Of course, he thanked him quickly for saving the stuff on the plane, but after that he ignored the texts, calls, voicemails etc.
Tony knew about what happened. About the warehouse. He felt something he almost never felt: Guilt.
And worry, what if something like that happened again? He did learn from his mistakes and let the kid keep the suit, for if something happened. Nothing did yet, the worst case was stab wound but Peter had already taken care of it.
He would come and help if something was actually wrong, of course. And he had Friday tell him about his patrol.

Peter had tried to contact Tony after homecoming, hoping he had impressed the man, but he never responded.
This went on for a few months, until it happened.
Tingles running down his spine, eyes widening and jumping of the roof. Fire. At his apartment.
'May.' Is all he could think. May was in the apartment. But he was too late. He didn't care how much he got burned, he was holding his aunt's corpse. Because he couldn't save her. He wasn't good enough. He had let someone die. Again.

Drip, drip, drip.
The rain made soft noises as it fell onto the pavement. Peter saved some clothes from the fire and put them on. His backpack was slung over his shoulder, carrying his spiderman suit.
He had the hood of his hoodie pulled over his face, not that anyone would've noticed the difference between his tears and the rain.
The streets of New York were busy, but no one noticed the teen stumbling through the crowd.
Eventually, Peter fell down in an alleyway. The fabric of his hoodie was wet and scraping against the burns on his skin. He didn't care.
He was somewhere in Manhattan, atleast he thinks. He didn't know what to do, who to go to. May was dead. Ned was on a family trip and MJ just wasn't an option. And mr. Stark.. he had ignored Peter for the last few months. He wouldn't care.
Peter pulled his legs up to his chest and rested his chin on his knees, closing his eyes.

"Boss, it seems that Spiderman has stopped patrolling earlier than most nights." Tony looked up from his project, confused. The kid loved patrolling, why would he stop so early?
"You know why?" He asks, turning back to his project. "Scanning Spiderman's vitals." Tony waited while Friday scanned Peter's suit. "It seems spiderman's suit is not active and I cannot look into his vitals."
Tony frowned. Not active? "Hm.. scan for news articles on Spiderman." He said. "Just a moment, sir."
"There's a new article on Spiderman from about 40 minutes ago. Would you like me to read it for you?" Friday said after a few seconds. Tony again looked back up from his work and leaned back in his chair.
"Yeah." He replied and Friday began reading. "Fire at apartment in Queens, spiderman arrived but couldn't save everyone. 4 people were found dead, identified are 2 of them, including Hillary Jaysen and May Parker. Further are-"
