"phones for you laila!" duff called out. i quickly got off my bed and made my way downstairs. as i passed the living room, coke laid out all over the coffee table.

"clean that shit up" i whisper yelled, before taking the phone from duff. "hello?" i questioned. "hey uhm, its dani! i talked to my boss and he said no need for an interview, so you're hired" she spoke.

"thank you so much" i smiled. "no problem! would you be free to come in for a training shift today around 1?" she asked. "yeah, i'll be there" i nodded.

"perfect, i'll see you later" she said before hanging up. "who was that?" duff asked, not leaving my side the entire phone call.

"i got a job" i smirked. "that means you're gonna be gone all the time" he frowned. "yeah...which means don't fuck up my house" i sighed, leaving the kitchen.

"duff! we're leaving" steven called out as i walked into the room. "where you guys off to?" i questioned, cleaning up some stuff laying around.

"studio" slash answered, giving me intense eye contact. "ah okay, have fun" i smiled, before turning on my heels and heading upstairs to get ready.

i heard the front door shut, and complete silence, so i sighed out. the boys didn't leave very much, except for some nights when they went out. i don't even know how they had the money for that.

i finished getting ready and left the house just fifteen minutes before one. i didn't get too much of a warning from dani, but that's okay.

"hey" i smiled towards dani as i walked in the front doors. "hey!" she waved, coming up to me. "i'll bring you in the back and get your uniform and stuff" she nodded, waving me over.

"roger, this is laila" dani introduced to the older man. "its great to meet you" he nodded. he was kinda scary, he didn't send me a smile or anything.

"okay so honestly its super simple" dani spoke, leading me through how to take orders and give them to the kitchen and so on. and then eventually the cash register.

"that's pretty much it" she shrugged, dusting the fake dust off her hands as i sent a giggle. the bell above the front door rang, catching both of us off guard.

"you're up" she proudly smiled. "alright" i nervously smiled. i walked over to the woman and her small child and sent them a smile. "just the two?"

"yes" the little girl proudly nodded. she reminded me a lot of ruby in a way. "perfect, follow me" i smiled, after grabbing an adult menu and children's menu.

i let them look over the menu's and returned back a couple minutes later to take their order. i jotted everything on my notepad and nodded before leaving the table.

the rest of the day wasn't too busy, and i worked until closing. "goodnight girls" roger nodded, before leaving the restaurant. now it was just us two sitting in a both, with milkshakes.

"so when i called you this morning, a guy answered" dani spoke. "oh yeah, that's my friend" i nodded. "friend huh" she smirked, raising her brows.

"him and his band mates live with me" i giggled, shaking my head. "do you live alone or something?" she asked. "no, i live with my parents and younger sister" i smiled.
