"all right, everything's looking good" the woman smiled, sending me and slash a nod. "great" i smiled. "did you take the vitamins last time you were pregnant?" she asked.

"no, i didn't know i was supposed to" i shook my head. "because you did not take them last time, that's definitely a strong possibility why you miscarried" she explained.

"oh shit" i mumbled. "you're telling me i could've prevented all of that if i had just taken the vitamins?" i added, feeling a ping of sadness hit me.

"maybe, but there are so many other factors that it could've been" she smiled. i just kept my mouth shut and nodded in response. i'm gonna do everything right this time.

"when will we find out if its a dude or a chick?" slash butted in. "not until the baby has formed, so about month five, sometimes sooner" the woman spoke. "okay" slash mumbled, sitting back in his seat.

"well that's all, i can write down which vitamins you should get" she nodded, grabbing a piece of paper and a pen. "sure, thanks" i nodded, pulling my shirt back down.

she handed the paper to me, and soon enough we were leaving the clinic. "fresh air" i exaggerated as we left the building. slash just laughed in response to my comment.

"can we do something?" i asked, looking at the guitarist. "what do you wanna do?" he asked, looking down at me. "hmm that's a great question" i shrugged.

"beach?" he offered. "yeah that sounds fun...i think i'll invite rue tho if that's okay?" i questioned. "yeah of course, lets go home and get ready" he nodded.

when we got back home, i headed straight for the phone so i could give mom and dad a call. "hello?" dad asked, answering the phone. "hey its your daughter" i laughed.

"whats up missy?" "i was just wondering if i could steal ruby" i spoke, already knowing the answer. "please do, she needs to burn some energy" he chuckled.

"good, slash and i were gonna bring her to the beach" i nodded. "sounds good! i'll tell her" she nodded. "perfect. tell her we'll be there in about half an hour" i smiled.

"will do" his voice spoke before i set down the phone. "you think i could invite the guys too?" slash asked, peering his head around the corner.

"i don't see why not" i smiled with a nod. slash took over the phone as i got my opportunity to get ready. i got my red bathing suit on, and put my outfit back on over them.

i then packed a bag with some towels, sunscreen, and other stuff. i made sure to pack a few snacks for rue too. and me, i was always hungry.

"ready?" i asked, sliding my sunglasses onto my face. "yep" slash nodded, grabbing my car keys. "are you driving this time?" i asked, raising my brows. "yeah, i'm sober."

yeah right.

i decided to believe his claims and let him drive to mom and dads. he honked the horn, and a few seconds later ruby emerged from the front door.

"hey slash!" she shouted, jumping into the backseat. "no hi laila?" i asked, twisting my body to face her. "mm no, i see you more than him" she shrugged.

i rolled my eyes and faced the front again once slash pushed the gas pedal just a little too hard. "are you trying to crash my car, dude?" i yelled. "sorry" he spoke.
