It's so easy // slash (completed)

four

we were all currently chilling in the living room since it started raining outside. the rain was pouring quite heavy, and honestly it was super comforting. i turned on the fireplace and turned on some music and we all just sat around, talking.

rue was cuddled up with slash, them both colouring. it made me smile, since i never thought slash was good with kids. "what're you smiling at?" duff teased, making slash look up. i quickly looked down and played with my mug that had hot chocolate in it. "nothing."

"can we play a board game?" rue asked. "uh yeah, i'll check what we have" i mentioned, getting up. "i'll come with you" slash spoke, following me. i went down the steps to the basement and scanned around, looking for all the games.

"so you didn't wanna hang with my sister, huh?" i joked, not looking at him. "eh, she's a bit clingy." "that just means she trusts you. that's a good thing" i smiled towards him.

"oh and not to mention she also likes you, well has a crush on you" i awkwardly chuckled. i don't know why i said that. "oh" he chuckled as well, probably speechless.

we eventually found a game, being trouble. "i used to play this when i was younger" slash spoke, walking over to me. "me too, it was my favourite" i smiled up at him. he sent a smile back and held up some cards.

i took a close look at them and my eyes widened as i stifled a laugh. "sex cards? my parents are freaks, holy shit" i giggled. "they would be fun to use" he smirked, making my face blast with red.

"trouble? yes!" ruby screamed, as we set the game down on the coffee table. "only four of us can play unless we do teams" i spoke, reclaiming my spot on the couch.

"i claim slash" ruby announced proudly. i sent her a squinted look as she smirked back at me. "i'll be by myself" axl added, since there was only seven of us.

steven and duff got paired up, and so it was izzy and i. first round, izzy and i won, second round duff and steven won, and for the final round, slash and ruby won.

axl had gotten so frustrated once that he grabbed the entire board and threw it across the room. "what the fuck, man!" i raged, sending him an angry look.

he just shrugged in response as he sat back. i pulled out monopoly for the next game, and we quickly started that once i explain the rules to everyone.

as we continued playing, the power went out, making rue scream super loud. she started crying and i tried making my way over to her. "what a baby" axl said as i engulfed her into my arms.

"stop being an asshole" i groaned, holding her close to me. "i'm gonna go find the flashlights, okay?" i whispered to rue. "okay" she shakily answered. "duff, where you at?" i asked.

"here" he spoke. i grabbed rue and brought her to where he was. "i'll be back" i told them and crawled my way to the kitchen. i rummaged through all the drawers, eventually finding three flashlights. i flicked one of them on and made my way back to the living room.

everyone was just kinda sitting there. "i should go check the box" i mentioned. "don't! what if there's a murderer out there" duff asked and i rolled my eyes but nodded. "yeah, i guess."

we all sat around in an awkward silence until the light turned back on. "finally" axl grumbled, shutting off one of the flashlights. "tou should go to sleep, rue. it's getting late" i mentioned to her.
