five months later

"hey, i'm gonna head to the store to grab some stuff, you need anything?" i asked, peeking in on slash's studio. "uh, nope i'm good...wait maybe some smokes" he nodded.

"sure thing, i'll be back" i nodded, sending him a smile before closing the door behind me. we had bought the house, and did some renovations.

like, the snake room was now turned into a studio, but still had the snakes in there. including a few more reptiles that had made their way into slash's collection too.

curtis was gone too. sure, he was the most friendly and only mountain lion i had ever met, but we decided he probably wasn't living the best life with us, so we gave him to a rescue.

i let out a quick yawn as i slipped on my shoes and headed out to the car. the engine roared to life, making me smile to myself. i did a few adjustments on her.

i pulled out of the driveway, and started driving down the road. i reached sunset boulevard and got into the left turning lane.

moments passed, and i saw a gap in traffic, so i began accelerating. within moments, the car was struck on the side, leaving me to black out quickly.

slash's pov

"where is she" i mumbled, looking at the clock for the millionth time. there's no way it would take her two hours at the grocery store. unless she stopped somewhere else, but i doubt it.

worry ate at me, as i watched the time pass for even longer. "fucking hell" i mumbled, standing up and heading to the phone in the kitchen.

i dialled her parents house and waited for an answer. "yes?" "hey violet, its slash, uhm have you seen laila?" i questioned, my stomach twisting in knots.

"no i havent, is everything okay?" she questioned, worry present in her voice too. "yeah everythings fine, im probably just overreacting, sorry" i apologized.

"no worries, let me know when you find her" violet spoke, her voice calming me slightly. she wasnt freaking out or anything, so surely i had no reason to.

just for extra measure, i called mia and dani too, which they told me they hadnt seen her. now i was slightly stressed again, so i grabbed my car keys before zooming out of the house.

from there, i quickly got in my car and sped down the road. the nearest grocery store was on sunset, so i'll check there first.

as i drove closer to an intersection, cop cars, a firetruck, and an ambulance surrounded the area. "accident, huh" i spoke, trying to pass the traffic.

i peered into the scene as i drove by slowly. wait a minute. that was laila's car. and it was smashed to pieces. what the fuck.

i quickly stopped the car, not caring for the traffic behind me. aggressive horns honked at me as i made a beeline towards the familiar red car.

"laila?" i yelled, picking up my pace. "sir you cant be here!" an officer shouted, trying to use his arm to stop me. "fuck off" i spoke, pushing him away.

when i pushed past a few other responders, i stopped in front of the smashed up car. "laila?" i questioned, seeing her body laying there on the seat, lifeless.
