for the next couple weeks, slash and i hung out more and got to know each other better. also mom and dad went away for a business trip, so it was just rue and i.

rue tho, somehow got the guys numbers and invited them over. i don't even know how, and i already gave her a strict talking to, trying to get her to spit it out.

"i can't believe you invited them over" i sighed, hitting my forehead. "well you're boring so-" "that's probably them" i told her, getting up and answering the door.

there was four of them, one was missing. that one was axl. i didn't really care anyways, cause that's just one less person.

"hey guys" i smiled, letting them in. "hey ruby" duff waved and she waved back, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. yeah that confirms it, she definitely likes him.

"where's axl?" i asked, my curiosity taking over. "he's with a girl. he should be here later" slash shrugged, slinging an arm over me, making me blush for the millionth time.

we were standing there awkwardly until rue started screaming and laughing. i turned to the couch and duff was tickling her. once she got away, she ran away upstairs, to her room. "what's up with her?" duff asked, genuinely confused.

"she has like the biggest crush on you" i spoke making him chuckle. "he can attract 8 year old pussy but not 20 year old pussy" izzy commented, making me slap his shoulder super hard. "what the fuck dude! don't say that!" i threatened in a joking manor. but still, what the fuck.

"so what do ya guys wanna do?" i asked. "didn't you invite us here?" steven asked and i shook my head. "that was ruby" i explained.

"then get her ass down here" duff smirked and i nodded before walking to the bottom of the stairs and yelling her name. "ruby briggs! get your ass down here." i waited a couple seconds before she dashed down the stairs.

"yes?" "wanna go to rae's?" "YES!" she screamed, hugging me. "get off me child" i said, ripping her off of me. "okay let's go boys" i smiled at them.

we took the short walk to rae's and sat down in a booth. duff was on the end, rue was beside him, i was beside her, slash was beside me, steven was beside slash, and izzy was on the other end.

"i have something to tell you" rue quietly whispered in my ear. "what?" I asked, quite annoyed. "i have a crush on slash" she spoke making me choke on my water and almost spit it out. "you alright?" slash asked, raising a brow.

"why do you like them? they're not even close to your age" i asked her, whispering quietly. the boys probably thought something was up. i'm sure they could see us, possibly hear us whispering back and forth.

"i don't know, they're cute i guess" rue whispered back. "wait, you don't have a crush on the others right?" i confirmed. "no, axl is scary, izzy is too quiet, and steven is even more energetic than me! i didn't know that was even possible" she said, making me laugh a bit.

"and what are you two talking about?" duff asked, an eyebrow raised. "i don't think rue would want me to tell you guys" i shrugged, sipping on my water.

"but now we're curious!" steven whined. "rue, why don't you tell them" i smiled at her, making her cheeks turn pink. "'no, thank you." i found it pretty funny that ruby liked slash. i'd be the one to have a chance with him.
