CHAPTER ELEVEN | A SPIRIT HERE THAT WONT BE BROKEN

PANIC RAN THROUGH RILEY'S BODY THE MOMENT SHE SAW THE PENDANT THAT CONTAINED ELIJAH'S ESSENCE HAD STARTED TO CRACK. Riley knew that whatever that meant, it definitely wasn't good. Immediately, the Evans girl grabbed hold of the pendant and let Freya examine it, given the pendant was hers in the first place.

"Despite the spell I cast, the very integrity of the pendant is growing unstable." Freya heavily sighed as she placed the pendant down onto the table. "It won't be able to hold Elijah's soul much longer."

"Okay, so we bring him back— tonight." Riley stated as if it were the easiest thing in the world to do.

Hayley folded her arms across her chest. "To do that, we'll need more power."

"Let me guess, a grand sacrifice." Klaus followed along with a slight smirk.

The Mikaelson witch nodded. "I say, we kill our enemy and sacrifice her. Then, we can channel the power from The Hollow's death, raise Elijah's body and place him back where he belongs."

"But, how? I mean, Labonair blood weakens her but Hayley's blood wasn't enough to kill her."

"But, we could forge a blade using the blood of the last living Labonair." Freya suggested as her gaze flickered between Hope's parents.

"We don't want Hope involved."

"She's already involved. Hope has been obsessed with the symbol that follows The Hollow." Freya laid out one of Hope's drawings of the serpent. "The serpent consuming itself. I believe that this is showing us the key— the only means to which she can be destroyed— her own blood."

"Oh, my God." Riley trailed off. "The Hollow is one end of the bloodline, Hope's the other. So, Hope's blood can kill her."

Hayley took a deep breath and nodded. "Then, we make it work. I'll talk to Hope."

They needed to break the Hollow's totem in order to begin their plan to kill her. Klaus and Rebekah had headed off to find the totem, Freya and Hayley made their way to their enemy whilst Riley was left guarding Elijah's body and the two littlest witches. The strawberry-blonde could tell, just by their body language, that Hope and Avery were terrified. They knew that Hayley and Freya had gone to fight the Hollow in a bid to raise Elijah, but they were scared they would fail.

"Okay. Hm, can you draw me, erm—" Riley trailed off, attempting to think of something for the girls to draw. "How about a castle?"

"Oh! I love castles." Hope excitedly squealed as she began to rummage through the pencils, collecting colours.
