Setting: Luke's Room. Room 343.
Aleisha: I'll be leaving soon.
Luke: (glances up from his phone) Oh yeah. Summer vacation, right? (thinks) Though, it'll be cold in Oz.
Aleisha: Yeah. I finish exams this week. (happy) Then I'm off!
Luke: (joking, fake sigh of relief) Good riddance. (laughs when Aleisha throws him a pillow) I'm kidding! (honest) I will miss you dearly, Ally.
Aleisha: (blushes slightly) Shut up. (slowly) You know, you could come with me? (carefully) It might be a good time to see them again.
Luke: (frowns) It's been four years. Answer is still 'no'.
Aleisha: (sighs) Ugh. For God's sake, Ben is about to have a kid! Don't you wanna see your niece or nephew?
Luke: (scoffs) He probably won't let me near it. Might be afraid I'll give it the gay. Infect the poor infant.
Aleisha: C'mon, Luke. You know your brothers love you. Both of them miss you. Your parents, too.
Luke: (rolls eyes) Say what you want. (serious) I'm not going back. (sighs) Besides, can't afford it. Trip costs like four grand. I don't have that kind of cash on me.
Aleisha: You can bo-
Luke: (sharp) No. I don't borrow money. You know how much I hate asking people for help.
Aleisha: (raises hands in defeat) It was just a suggestion.
Luke: (nods, smiles to show he's not upset) I know, Ally. I'm just not up for it.
Aleisha: (teasing) I like this new side to you.
Luke: (raises eyebrow) What new side?
Aleisha: Domesticated Luke. All nice and understanding. Married life suits you.
Luke: (blushes) Shut up. (pauses) Besides, I'm the husband. If anything, Ashton would be the whipped one.
Aleisha: (obviously disbelieving) Mhm. Of course.
Luke: (red) We're not really married. Or even dating. (shoulders deflate) He's straight.
Aleisha: (pointing out) So are rulers. But, like men, some are made of wood and some are made of plastic. Wood may stay straight but plastic bends.
Luke: (low chuckle, under his breath) Until it snaps.
Note: I'm thinking of a major plot twist. Hm. My mind is still working this whole thing out.
