Not so innocent anymore

Chapter eight~

Me and my mom just been sitting in the dining room quiet for quiet a while now it's now 10pm and my mom needs to work tomorrow.

I lead her upstairs to her room so she could rest cause now she had a job. I wonder what made my dad decide to abandon us like this, I can't, I just don't want to be depress I think this party tonight may take my minds out of things. I don't want to have to deal with all this but it's life, life doesn't always go your way.......

I start getting ready for the party. I took a 30 minute shower trying to get my mind off things, that really didn't work much but after I start blow drying my hair until its dry.

I apply some heat protectant and start curling my hair it took around 30 minutes curling my hair so now I'm putting hairspray so my hair won't get out of the curls.

I apply some light make up applying some mascara, eye liner, eye shadow, and lip balm. I put on some shorts and a loose tank top the says jack wills(British brand).

It was now 11:30 and I still can't get my mind off my dad, I hate feeling that I really can't do anything about it cause I'm just a young lad.

I hear a knock on my window it was Romeo he's a bit early I opened up saying "your early" he said "well, I wanted to talk to you first" I say "about what?" He says "don't freak out". Okay now he's making me nervous what is he about to say.

I say "can you tell me" I was getting impatient waiting for his answer he says "well, the cops are searching for me, so I hid here" I say in shock "wait, why is the cops searching for you?"

He looks down as he says "well, I was hanging with some people I met and they were smoking weed and offered me some, me stupid enough received it and the cops saw us but we split so I doubt they'll find me or even remember my face" I say "your such an idiot" he says "I know, I'm sorry". He just smiles and says "okay I lied, none of that happened I just wanted to know your reaction, I'm not that stupid".

I look to him with a what the fuck face as he smiles and leans in for a hug, I turn my head motioning him no, he says "come on it was a joke!" I say "well, that wasn't very funny" I look to my legs which was covered with a blanket but I still couldn't get my mind off my dad so I looked down quietly , I forgot he was still next to me.

He turns my chin so that I was looking at him he says "what's wrong?, don't lie I can tell something is wrong" I slowly hesitated to reply but did anyways "well, my dad left my mom for another family" he says "oh....I'm sorry your dad is stupid for doing that, you guys are great people your mom is nice and amazing, and his daughter is just amazing"

I say "my dad isn't an idiot, there's a reason for every thing anyone does" he says "sorry, I didn't mean it like that" I say "it's alright, can we just go to the party so I can get my mind off things, just gunna be honest I'm still not very sure about me looking like this" he says "trust me, I'll be there at all times anyways weren't you going to bring your friend?"

I say "I totally forgot, it's alright she's probably at a different party" he smiles as he grabs my hand and I quickly grab my phone and set it onto my back pocket. As we climbed out my window and onto the ground.
