Passing notes (Vince)

As we finished lunch, including our little private meeting, we headed back to class. After we got to our seats and started getting to work. During the middle of class, Jeremy passed a note back to me. Hiding it behind my schoolbook, I read the little note.

It said " After class, we can get back to business." I tapped the back of Jeremy's shoulder as I quickly passed the note back to him. He took it and was gonna put it in his pocket when he dropped it on the floor! Oh come on! And if that wasn't bad enough, our homeroom teacher Mrs.Avery saw it as she walked back into the classroom.

As Jeremy bent down to pick it up, she walked over, looking kinda upset. "Mr.Wilson, what are you doing passing notes in class?" she asked. "Maybe he was trying to pass it to his girlfriend!" Gerard joked. His friend Zach started laughing out loud with him as some of the other students chuckled. "That's enough, Mr.Tomson and Mr.Riley", Mrs.Avery said sharply.

That made the both of them quickly shut up. Mrs.Avery is a nice teacher. Last week she got married to a Mr.Nathaniel Avery. Both of them are brown haired twenty-two year olds. Fresh out of college. Anyway, she had Jeremy get up out of his seat as she told him to go to the pricipal's office. Rats! Now he's gonna be in trouble.

Principal Fredrick Davison will probably give him two days detention. After class was over, Jeremy met Vance and I in the hallway as he told us what the principal said.

"He gave me two days detention, and told me to tell him what was in the note", Jeremy explained. "Well, what did you say?" I asked. "I told him that we were talking about homework, and he said that if I'm going to talk about homework with my friends I'll have to talk about it in the hallway or somewhere else.  But not in class." Jeremy replied. With that, the three of us went on to our next class. Just as I thought. Two days detention for Jeremy.
