Once we were at the nurse's office, Gerard explained what happened before and after the mosquito stung him. The young school nurse rolled up his shirt sleeve and took a look at the area where the mosquito stung him.
A small rash had developed, and it was sore when Gerard touched it.
So the nurse gave him a bandaid and was about to send him back to class when Gerard suddenly turned pale and told the nurse that he didn't feel good.
The nurse decided to call Gerard's parents. Soon, his dad showed up and drove him to the hospital. Zack and Spencer sat in the car with Gerard as his dad drove off.
It was strange how Gerard had a rash that showed up within a few minutes after the mosquito stung him. And how he turned pale and felt sick soon after.
Lots of mosquitoes were flying through the school, so Vince, Jeremy, and I rolled down our sleeves.
Jeremy gave his sister Vicky a call and told her what happened to Gerard and mentioned that she should be careful.
Vicky said that she would keep an eye out and hung up. These mosquitoes were even more strange than I thought.
But why were so many of them out here together when it was still cool outside?
