It was now time for us students to have our school break, the part of the day in which the students get to have a break for a while. And that's when Vance, Jeremy and I had our second meeting on the bleachers sat the football field.
As we talked quietly about Pentro Labs, Jeremy's sister Vicky came over and her friend Lisa Hubard. "Hey guys. Whatcha talking about?" Vicky asked us. The guys and I looked at each other, trying to think of a quick excuse.
"We were talking about Madden football and the fact that it's hard for me to keep trying to beat the guys who have higher points than I do." I answered quickly.
Vicky shrugged and said "Well, my football knowledge isn't very high, but I think you should just keep trying until you can get as many points as you can."
Whew! That was a close one. At least neither of us guys had to tell Vicky and Lisa what we were really talking about.
Vicky turned around and left. Lisa stayed behind and was just smiling and staring at Jeremy. With her blue eyes shining behind her purple glasses and long brown hair, she was an attractive girl. Jeremy was looking at his phone, pretending not to notice as Lisa left.
Lisa Hubard is Mr.Hubard's daughter, and Steve Hubard's sister. Steve is the star wide receiver on the football team at Jackson High.
Vance gave Jeremy a little push and said "What do we have here, Jeremy? Is there something going on between you and Lisa?" Jeremy looked up and rolled his eyes and said "No. She's just friends with Vicky. Big deal." I decided to look up Pentro Labs on my phone. We had to get to the bottom of this.
