When we were finished with the test, all of the students got up and went to their other classes.
Jeremy and Vince stood outside the door in the hallway as I handed in my test to Mr.Hubard. Now was the time for me to tell him the truth about the test answers.
"Mr.Hubard." I said to get his attention. "Yes, Mr.Acton?" was his response. Things were good so far. "I need to tell you something about the test, Mr.Hubard." I mentioned. "Oh? What is it?" Perfect, now I'll just get to the point.
"When you asked Gerard if he got out of his seat during the test, he was lying, sir. He got out of his seat when you left, and was looking up the answers for the test on your desktop."
Mr.Hubard looked surprised as he said "Well, thank you for telling me, Vance. I'll be sure to talk to Gerard and call his parents this afternoon."
I nodded as I thanked Mr.Hubard and went into the hallway where Vince and Jeremy were waiting for me. I filled them in on what I told Mr.Hubard.
"Typical Gerard. Always trying to take the easy way out instead of studying", Jeremy said shaking his head. Vince nodded and added "Yeah, he and Zach were always the types of guys who would do something like this."
I nodded in agreement. Cheating is a waste of time, because not only is it wrong, but you could end up getting embarrassed when the teacher asks you for the answer.
