As we pulled into the parking deck part of the hospital, the Acton brothers and I got out of the car as Gerard and his dad Mr.Nelson went in.
After getting Gerard admitted and set up in a room, Mr.Nelson and the three of us waited in the waiting area as a doctor came up to us.
He was a young man with blonde hair and brown eyes. The three of us stood up as he walked in our direction.
"Are you Mr.Nelson, sir?", the doctor asked. Mr.Nelson nodded and answered "Yes." The doctor smiled and said " Nice to meet you, Mr.Nelson. I'm Dr.Daniel Connor. Come with me, please."
The three of us followed Dr.Connor until we were inside of Gerard's hospital room. A nurse was checking his vitals and was now leaving.
After we all sat down, Dr.Connor said "Well, Mr.Nelson, after checking Gerard's vitals and reviewing his blood test, we found something we've never seen before."
"Well, what is it, Doc?" Mr.Nelson asked. "We don't know exactly what it is yet. But we think that Gerard contracted some type of virus. Did he get bitten by a insect or perhaps a type of tick by any chance?"
Gerard answered "Yeah. I got bitten by a mosquito earlier today. It was strange because it hurt more than a usual mosquito sting, and I felt some warm feeling go through my left forearm where it stung me."
Dr.Connor looked at his computer and checked out Gerard's blood test results. He then spun it around to us and showed us the levels of normal blood test compared to Gerard's test.
After a while of discussing Gerard's vitals and mosquito sting, Dr.Connor decided that he would keep Gerard at the hospital overnight.
With that being said, Mr.Nelson and the three of us left the hospital as we headed for the parking deck.
Mr.Nelson decided to give each of us a ride home because school let out early on Wednesday. And that meant we had more time to do our homework
After Mr.Nelson dropped me off, I went inside my house and headed upstairs to my room.
Before I did my homework, I emailed Vince and Vance as to what I thought about Gerard's blood test and vitals results.
Vince emailed that he thought it was good that Gerard was getting a detailed discussion about his blog test, while Vance suggested that we visit him tomorrow to see how he's doing.
I sat in my swivel chair and thought for a second before responding. We never got along well with Gerard and his friends Zack and Spencer.
Bit maybe it was time to put our differences aside and try to be friends with him. With my decision in mind, I responded.
Jeremy: Yeah, I think it'll be a good idea for us to visit him. I think we could at least put our differences aside for once and give Gerard and his friends a chance.
Vance: I think that's a good idea. What do you think, Vince?
Vince: Hmm. I think we could help Gerard out once he gets discharged from the hospital. So yeah, I agree.
Jeremy: :) C ya guys.
Vance: See ya, man.
Vince: Laters, Jer.
