~two hours later~ Travis~

It's been two hours since our babies were born and they came in and told us an hour ago our babies are going to have to stay in the NICU for a few days. I was sitting in bed beside Cole, he looked so pale and tired. Not that I was expecting anything different, he just gave birth to our babies and he is still a baby really. I ran my fingers through his hair and he shifted closer to me in his sleep. Our babies looked so much like him, it's crazy. Seth must have some pretty strong genes.

"Isn't it your due date today Mr. Carter?" I looked over to him sitting on the chair, well more like trying to lay down. He sighed and rubbed his stomach a little harder than he should.

"Yes, but I don't think Riley wants out yet."

"Yeah, your wincing and breathing say just that." He frowned at me and gave up trying to get comfy and just sat up.

"Ri's just kicking and moving a lot today. It's bothering me."

"Where did Tyler go?"

"He went to the bathroom and to look at the babies again. I told the kids and Dad that Cole had the babies and they are on their way now. So maybe wake Cole up soon." Shit, gramps is going to be mad no one told him when Cole went into labor. "Yeah, it slip all of our minds to tell them."

"Why was I not informed my grandson was in labor!" Micheal angrily said when he walked in. And he was followed by June and then everyone else filed in along with Tyler.

"Mmm... I'm trying to sleep." Cole mumbled and snuggled into my side closer.I rubbed his back and kissed the side of his head.

"I know baby, but your gramps is here and your sibs. Get up sweetie." Just then Doc came in looking a little upset.

"I need to speak with you about your babies."

"Are they okay?" Cole jumped up and looked at him scared.

"They are a little small but they are fine, you kept then in long enough to develop their lungs and they are breathing on their own now. We would just like to keep them in here until they are at least six pounds. But your son... he was lacking in development. I'm sorry to say this but your son is blind." My... my baby is blind?

"Oh god... this is all my fault." Cole whimpered with his hand on his mouth.

"Cole-"

"Don't tell me it's not! I didn't do enough. I shouldn't have even gotten pregnant. I was too small!" Everyone swarmed around us then and just tried to calm Cole down, I didn't realize I needed comfort until Tyler hugged me and wiped under my eyes.

"It's going to be hard Travis, but him being blind doesn't have to be difficult. You treat him like you are going to your princess. Do you hear me? You have me and Seth and everyone else here to help you." I nodded and he held me a little tighter then when he let go, I turned and Cole pulled me to him.
