 “Alright, what’s going on? Why the long faces? Cole is alright, he will need more support but he should get back to himself within the next few weeks.” I nodded and relaxed on the chair. “So now tell me. Why are you too in a spat?”

 “We are fighting over something that might not even happen. But he said something that hurt me so he’s sleeping on the couch.” Ty threw his hands up then and groaned.

 “I will not sleep on the couch. It is comfy but hell if I’m sleeping on it with my back hurting.”

 “You looked at me like I was heartless enough to do it! You’ve known me for years but it’s like you don’t know me at all!” I got up and walked over to the kitchen and braced myself against the sink. Ty and Dad started talking but I blocked them out and walked into the living room where Cole and Travis where snuggling and June, Callum and Mia where eating.

 “Why were you yelling Dad?” Cole asked well turning to look at me.

 “I was…. What are you guys watching?” I asked well sitting beside Mia, she snuggled against my side and looked up at me.

 “We’re watching Fast and Furious 5.”

 “What? You are watching a grown up movie. My little sister shouldn’t be watching Fast and Furious.” She giggled when I started tickling her and hit my hands.

 “I’m eleven Seth. I can watch grown up movies. Mommy said so.”

 “Oh really?” She nodded her head all serious and looked back to the movie. I chuckled and kissed the top of her head.

 “Hey where is Elly and Derek?” Callum asked.

 “They are at their uncle Tristen’s with Justin and Jailyn, Bent is there too.” He nodded and then Dad came into the room and motioned for me to follow him well Ty took my spot on the couch. I followed Dad outside and we sat on the two chairs on the porch.

 “So you guys could possibly be pregnant again?”

 “No, maybe. I don’t know. I mean well we haven’t had sex for a while and then his condom broke tonight…. God… I hope we aren’t. Cole needs us right now and adding a new born to the mix will mess everything up.” I leaned forward and put my head in my hands. Dad rubbed my back and sighed.

 “Well I’m sure what Tyler said to you tonight was just him being scared, he didn’t mean it.” I shook my head.

 “Whatever. I don’t want to talk about that. I’m annoyed with him right now and I don’t want to talk to him. I want to just focus on the kids right now. I want to maybe take them away for the weekend. I think they need a family get away. Everyone seems to be pulling away from each other, I need them to be close. I wouldn’t be able to take it if me kids started hating each other.”

 “They won’t. Seth everything is going to work out. I know it will. Everyone just needs some time to cool down and think. You guys will be back to normal in no time.” I sat outside catching up with my dad for about half an hour before it was getting a little too cold so we went back inside. They stayed and hung out with us for a while and Aide came to hang out with us too. When it got late they left and so did Aiden to go sleepover at one of his friend’s houses. Aria called and asked if she could stay out too so we let Cole have Travis stay over. We said goodnight to them and watched them head downstairs before I got up to get some coffee.

 “How are you? Are you okay?” Tyler asked well coming into the kitchen after me. I went over to the coffee pot and made some coffee before looking at him.

 “I’m upset, I don’t like how you looked at me and how you sounded asking me. It hurt beyond belief and it sucked. I just can’t believe you think so low of me after thirteen years of marriage and we have been friends for well over twenty-five years. I hate it. Honestly I don’t see how you could know me but not at the same time. I think we are nearing the point where we need a break.”
