Debbie woke up with a jolt, her heart pounding in her chest. The vivid dreams of Lou and the memories of their past together flooded her mind, leaving her feeling angry and unsettled. The pain of Lou's departure had carved deep scars within her, and the wound seemed to throb anew as she lay in her bed. Her mind became a battleground, replaying the moments leading up to Lou leaving her. She recalled the promises they had made, the dreams they had shared, and the love that had blossomed between them. In the quiet solitude of her bedroom, Debbie allowed herself to confront the flood of emotions that had been suppressed for so long. Anger surged through her veins as she thought about the pain Lou had inflicted upon her. Tears welled up in Debbie's eyes as she realised the depth of her heartache. She had spent years longing for closure, for an explanation that would bring her some semblance of peace. Yet, it seemed that Lou's absence had left a void that could never be filled. Despite the hurt, a part of Debbie still yearned for the love she had shared with Lou. Memories of their laughter, their shared dreams, and the way Lou's touch used to ignite a spark within her flooded her thoughts. Even if she did not want to admit it. She loved Lou so much. But then, without any warning or explanation, Lou had vanished from her life, leaving Debbie broken and shattered. Well it wasn't true, she knew why Lou left, it was because of her. So why was she so angry at the blonde, why she felt like that seeing her again ? How could Lou have just walked in her life without a warning? Every morning, with a deep breath, Debbie made a silent vow to reclaim her own happiness. She wanted to find healing and to rebuild her life independent of Lou. But every night she felt asleep dreaming about her and her heart still in pain
A knock on the door get her out of her thoughts, she put a dressing gown before opening the door only to find Tammy, standing there with a tray of breakfast in her hands. Tammy had always been there for Debbie, offering support and a listening ear during difficult times. Debbie invited Tammy in, appreciating the gesture and sensing that Tammy wanted to discuss something important.
The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air.
"So about last night...
"I don't want to talk about it, Tam"
"Debbie...please tell me how you feel."
Debbie looked into Tammy's caring eyes and felt a surge of gratitude. She knew that Tammy's intentions were genuine, and that she was the only one she could confide her feelings" Although hesitant, she realised that opening up about the past might help her find closure and move forward. And that's what she wanted.
Taking a deep breath, Debbie spoke softly,
"Tammy, Lou left, because of how shitty I was with her. There were moments of anger, heartbreak, and confusion. I still have unanswered questions, and I'm trying to make peace with the past. That's all you need to know."
Tammy nodded,.
"I know that Debbie, but it's been five years, why don't you wanna talk about it, you'll never move on if you keep it a secret."
",Can we please just talk about something else ?"
"No. You need to know what Lou told me last night"
"I don't want to know, Tammy."
"Well, that's a fucking lie. I know you do want to know."
"Okay fine, Oh my god, I want to know, please sweet Tammy, tell me.' Of course Debbie was being sarcastic.
"So I saw her last night, and she told me she did not have time now, but she wanted to call me after"
"And ?"
***flashback phone call***
Tammy: Hello?
Lou: Hi, Tammy. It's Lou. I hope it's not too late to talk.
